Did any one catch that the Commanding officer at Soccent forward AFB(Col. Sharp) and the commander of the Independence space shuttle from Armmageddon(Col. Wille Sharp) have the same name and rank. i guess Bay couldnt think of any thing or maybey is like Sam Rami and the 72 beige oldsmobile delta 88

I think that whole Col. Sharp thing was done on purpose. Not meant to be the same person, but just a nod. Who knows. There's quite a few "Armageddon" references in this movie.

ye it may be..my friend said some of the same music was used in armageddon as well. but probly not the stuff from the score..
