A thought about Frenzy

First, let's keep the whole love/hate for the movie outta this. This isn't about your opinion of the movie, I don't care.
Now thats done ok:
Frenzy's alt. form is a boom box. Now I have one a similar size to the one he TFs into. How does he go from that to a 4ft. tall bot? And how is the flight attendant able to carry said boom box, if it's actually a robot? Wouldn't it be considerably heavier? Especially if there is no mass shifting, how is this possible. It's been a thought in my head since I've seen the movie.
Am I reading too much into this, or is this one of those suspension of disbelief moments?

No idea. I just like to think that he weighs as much as the boombox.

Just think how thing his pieces and moving panels are-- he isn't that big mass wise, just in projected volume.

I do not think that there's any actual conceivable way for this robot to turn into that boombox. He's mostly made out of rods. There's no real way to form a stereo device with a coherent surface from those. Especially not at this size.

That wasn't a regular police car.

Hard to tell if you are serious or sarcastic.
I agree that the real people were idiots to not see Frenzy, but that was part of the joke that they were trying with Frenzy holding his hand to his face like a human would do when trying to sneak by.
But you also asked how the cop car door opened and it is because it isn't a cop car, which is the part of your post that I was addressing.

Which is what I was answering to your last question in your first post, because it appeared as you were asking us that. If you meant that you were stating why didn't the people in the film not ask that, then, no offense, but it is kind of hard to tell with all of the jumbled-up text in your first post.
but, whatever.

you said he transformed into a 4ft robot?? after the plane scene when he gets into baricade he is way shorter than the door, he looked more like between 2-3 feet.

It is not a car. It's a creature with the ability to fold its bodyparts into a configuration which
resembles a human car =P

Let's deal with this bit first. So a 4 ft robot becoming boombox is improbable? Sure. But then, why don't you have a problem with my vehicle of choice (Peterbilt 379) transforming into a 30 ft tall robot? No offense intended but it just seems dumb to me to think a boombox shouldn't become a 4 ft robot but a 13ft truck cab can become a 30 ft robot.
As for the mass thing, I don't know. I don't bother to question films I enjoyed. It just ruins the enjoyment.

Bay just wanted the mass shifting to be on a near real scale. Besides, the goal of this movie was to make it real enough to think that your car might transform or even if you're desperate enough to buy a vehicle that resembles one of them, Ironhide specifically. Not to mention sell alot of related media...

What I want to know is:
How his head was able to turn into a small cell phone.
Where do the bullets come from? Wouldnt the bots be loosing mass everytime they use them?
Why they didnt play the pizicatto string plucking when he was tip toeing off the tarmack.

geez, if your guys wanna get all technical with transformers, where did optimus's trailer go whenever he transformed in the G1 episodes....it would just magically disappear then reappear.
its all movie magic....everything is created to suit the story, to enhance it, not to degrade it.

basically, as me and my brother said when bublebee shrank the all spark,
'No mass shifting my ass"

The Allspark I get. We've mystical objects powering Cybertron since G1. It's ability to shrink no where near bugs me.
As far as Frenzy, it was thought I had at work looking at my boom box. I see Peterbuilts everyday, that I can see being a TF. Same with the Solstice, Mustangs, and such. The boom box just isn't as believable as a robot, especially with no visible parts of the radio in bot mode.
Ah, but then again, what else was there for Frenzy to be. As a spy and infiltrator, it worked.

It is called a subspace portal.
Don't make me get the book of Cybertronian Quantum Mechanics out on you!

Frenzy was never shown to be a working boombox. Sure, Bumblebee actually had an engine and all vehicle TFs had interiors (sake for Megatron ofcourse) but Frenzy
could just form a shell resembling a boombox, not actually a working one. It's a stretch, I know.
But his parts have to go somewhere, they'd probably fold up inside the boombox.
