So, you're wondering why Jazz was the way he was?

You know, totally unlike his G1 self? Well these writers, they listen to their RAP music, and it gives 'em brain damage, ya see? And with their hippin' and their hoppin', and their bippin' and their boppin', the don't know what Jazz is all about, ya see?

Eh? This is a modern day Jazz. A character for a large and pretty well defined cultural age group.
I am a fan of the hippin and the hoppin though. Just not the music

we should go up and tell them no, actually Jazz is like the new coke. it'll be around forever. And then we can do a cosby-esque laugh.

Jazz wins the internet for trying too hard and not quite 'getting' it.

See, if I'D come face to face with Megatron, instead of threatening him, I'd be like "Now my good mech, what do you like to play?"

I wouldn't. I'd lay into him fifty ways from Tuesday. If I'm gonna get flattened, I like to deserve it.

Bill Cosby would have been a great Jazz.
...
Woody Allen would also have been a great choice.

Jazz was dead on with his portrayal. Remember, he is the one who "gets it". The one who assimilates cultres the best out of all of the Autobots. He's the "cool" one of the group, and what is curently "cool" among Americans, particularly the youth? Rap, R&B, and Alternative Rock. Jazz fits in with that crowd.

Not really a Jazz only thing, but after they pants that Sector 7 fellow and the *backup* comes, prime tells the bots to roll out, watch Jazz transform, he does that sorta jump/land on both hands and transform.. reminded me exactly of a transformation scene in one of the cartoon episodes (of course others did it, but Jazz doing it always stuck out in my mind). I was hoping at some point he would do that transformation sequence he did in the cartoon intro, transform dive thing. He sort of did, against Brawl, but that was more a good ode to Kup in '86, which was super cool. (The only time I liked Kup!)

I asked a black friend of mine what he thought of Jazz in the movie, and his interpretation was basically: "he was obviously meant to be someone trying to fit-in by pretending too hard to be something he isn't."

I like pudding, and Kodak films, and Ghost Dad was the best movie of all-time.
The next movie should be called
Transformers Say The Darnedest Things.
I still stick to my opinion that Jazz should be called Jazz Jazz Binx.

I bet jazz is the one who landed in the baseball field, presuming they learned from the 'world wide web' after they had landed that would make sense
