I for one would love to see an extended edition DVD that could clear up some of the questions that have cropped up such as what happened barricade etc etc... I could also clean up some of the weird editing like when Sam is being chased by Barricade and he knocked Mikela off her scooter... That scene looks like there is a big chunk missing to me and its not the only scene that looks that way.

I hope so. But because I hope they do, it won't happen cuz they like to see me cry over the emptiness I feel.
(over dramatic, but it's true! Like how I hope for Bumblebee '08 deluxe toys to be at the stores. ...they never are.)

Considering just how many mistakes there supposedly are in the movie (and I only noticed a couple of them myself), I wouldn't mind if they took a little time to fix them all and edit the whole thing properly for the dvd release. As long as it gets done, and done well...

yeah, i agree. they've got to explain how did barricade end up as scrap parts on the ship at the end of the movie when the last time we saw him he was "directing" traffic on the freeway...
also more exposition on mikaela. and explanations on whatever happened to the Xbox 360 bot & the Dewbot, or to put it fittingly, Dispensor.

erm...honestly, i couldn't quite remember hehe. got me in there. (hey i have only seen the movie twice yet!) i really have to check.
but i read somewhere that there were scraps of barricade on the ship at the end. IMHO for my part i guess i'll have to wait for the DVD to clarify this up.
in the comics though, barricade got pwned by prime right after he dismantles bonecrusher.

Damn well better. I will be all over this DVD when it is released. I am sure that it will be hard to find when it comes out so I will more than likely pre-order it just to be sure that I get one.

Barricade is still alive. Didn't happen on screen, so he's alive and well. So says I, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

we'll probably get a dvd with deleted scenes. The scenes that slow down a movie or just are out of place and change too much tone.

im not gonna buy the dvd when it first comes out.... because im pretty sure theyll release a special collectors edition in time for christmas with more features and maybe might come with a mini bust or statue.... like what they did for lord of the rings.

PLEASE!!! The DVD will be hard to find when it comes out???? I don't believe that for a second. If you see how mass produced these DVDs are you'd have to be crazy to think Transformers would be hard to find with how extremely popular this film has become at the box office. We're talkin' at least Pirates of the Caribbean calibur, or heck even Star Wars at this point for initial DVD release.
I haven't pre-ordered a single DVD for YEARS now. If you even show up any time of day on the first day of release you're pretty much guaranteed you'll find it.
However, if they do one of those 2-disc deluxe editions, which are lesser produced than the single movie-only ones then maybe pre-order. But usually I buy my movies on the morning of the store opening. Never not gotten one I was looking for yet.

maybe that guy meant it would be hard to get on the first day if all the stores sell out. But i don't think that will be a problem with TF, b/c most stores will order a s^%$ton

that's a pretty cool idea there, maybe they could use Unleashed-style busts for the bookends? (wishful thinking...)

I never got the ones that came with LOTR because i just wasnt into them.... but transformers, thats a different story... Prime and Bumblebee at one end and Megatron and Barricade at the other end.... that would be soooo sweet.
Great idea mate.

If they didnt shoot the footage, or redner the visual effects nothing will be extended. There will more than likely be deleted scenes but they wont be anything big like showing barricade run away or something. They will all be live action deleted scenes.

Well in some cases they'll take the rough deleted footage and splice it with some storyboards or rough animations to at least give you an idea of what the scene would have looked like, as unfun as that can be to watch sometimes. I made a specific point to look for Barricade on the ship after I'd read that same thing and I could only see Megatron, Blackout, and Brawl on there. Maybe Bonecrusher with the military markings but not a black fender or white door to be seen anywhere. I have to get the rest of the prequel and movie adaptation comics, sounds like it fills in some holes.

For the record, in the sticker album it is said that Optimus destroys Barricade after Bonecrusher.
