according to my investors report Hasbro is a keeper.
Unfortunately the stock drop from the Easy Bake Oven fiasco outweighed the returns on the film up until now.

It seems Transformers is still doing alright, and it still has Japan to boost it's takings a little bit.
HP5 had about the same loss rate as Transformers did.
Another $20 Million worldwide and it will surpass Pirates #3.

I really was hoping that the movie would have made $300,000,000 by now. I know that the movie is a success, but with the speed in the first week it slowly fizzled down from there. I know it wasnt going to stay at the top for long but it is already out of the top 5. We did what we could and the rest was up to the non fans. Glad for the success and hope it continues with the sequels.

I say let's all rally and see the movie one more time. I think it can still reach 300 mil in the US before it's over. Half a bill is incredible.

I still hate it. If it weren't for the action scenes, it would have been as disappointing as Simpsons movie. But then, ALL transformers opening eps are horridly boring.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easy_Bake_Oven#RecallsRecalls
In February 2007, Hasbro and the Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled 985,000 Easy-Bake toy ovens after finding that kids' hands and fingers can get caught in the oven's opening, thereby posing serious risk of burns.[4] Since the February 2007 announcement, an additional 249 reports of children getting their hands or fingers caught in the ovens, including 16 reports of second- and third-degree burns. As a result, Hasbro recalled all front-loading Easy Bake ovens sold since May 2006, even those that were repaired with the free kit distributed after the February 2007 recall. This unfortunate turn of events was the result of Hasbro's apparently ill conceived redesign of the original time tested Easy-Bake Oven. [5]
Some of the EBOs that I saw, were priced between $30-50.00 a piece, so that's a hell of an expensive recall....O_o...
Oh and the movie? All bets are off now. I'll be honest, I didn't think the public would be this receptive...ever. I was expecting a nice modest number around $3-400 million. I was incorrect and it continues to climb.
Wow.
Amazing.
