Hey did anyone eles notice that longarm was in the transformers movie.How could you not see him he was in the trailer he even came in direct contacte with bumblebee and mikla.Still haven't seen him well that was because he stayed in vehicle mode if you watch the movie(or the right trailer)Watch the part were mikla is pulling(or pushing) bumblebee with the towtruck then take a hard look at the truck you will realise it was Longarm's vehcile mode.

ah yes, I've noticed this too. He had been in contact with the spark so it would be a cool oppertunity to pop in a new bot in the next movie. but it seems kind of weird since they wouldn't release him so early and isntead actually wait for a proper appearance. oh well, I guess we'll wait and see

I doubt it, but it does sound cool. Can possibly another character appearance and an addition to the Autobots in TF2.

Maybe he could appear in the sequel where and he introduces himself to the other Autobots saying something like "yeah, I was born yesterday, and I was the one pulling you BB. The name's Longarm".

We know, it's been mentioned before.
I believe all the non-movie figures (bar Wreckage) were cameoed in the movie. Swindle, Payload, & Arcee could easily be in the background of some scenes (I'm sure I saw Swindle, but I'm not certain) & Payload was defiantly shown, or at least "homaged"(of a sort).
Though it's unlikely these were Transformers.

Maybe but most of the other characters are in the video game. I would have to take a closer look but I think Longarm is one of the annoying chain swingers.

The most reasonable viewpoint of this would be as such:
Hasbro designers were there for the shooting or watching the earliest cuts and designed toys based on the appearing vehicles. Probably to tighten the tie-in strategy.

You know what would be cool ? A transformer based on the Car that was next to Numblebee when he pulled into the car lot.

i mean if you wanna point that out, i always though that the moped that mikaela rides, before the scene where barricade is fighting bumblebee... is a representation of the armada mini-con sureshock...

But there are 2 things that dose not make sence.When did Longarm touch the allspark.And how come when Longarm touched the allspark why was he the only one that because an autobot the other car that touched suffacted its driver and the mountain dew mechine stared to shoot things. I think the allspark touched something else to but i forgot what it was.

Hasbro is making toys of all of the prominent vehicles that were in the movie, including the S7 SUV, the towtruck, the military jeep vehicles at the end, a helicopter and the jet that took out Scorponok.

That's right. These were just plain vehicles in the movie. NOT transformers.

Hasbro is just capitalizing on their appearance to make more Movie toys.

It just occurred to me (because of this thread) that the Real Gear toys are really movie tie-ins because of Sam's little jog with the All Spark.

The only real gears i've seen in the movie were cellphones. Frenzy and the Nokia-bot.

And the real gear cellphone toy didn't look a bit like either of them.

Disappointing.

no, I don't mean that the specific toys were in the moive, I just mean the concept

No he's right... it really was if you watch it again you'll see...

and just to say what i have been thingking too, arcee was in the movie too. remember the bike that was used to shot Blackout from between the legs. that looks like the alt mode of arcee. longarm is clearly that tow truck. but, i miss seeing payload. when did this vehicle showed up?

Yes. Exactly. He's in the movie. And Hasbro is coming out with this toy sometime in late 2007 or early 2008.

Yeah well its an okay toy but the robot mode is a bit of a let down and the vehcile mode isn't the same as in the movie some small differntes like the cockpit and the tail its only a small thing but if you love planes like i do espally the Osprey then its a bit stink.
