I saw the Transformer movie and I saw a Decepticon called Devastator in the movie . It looked nothing like the real Devastator nor was it a Gestalt. Since there were no Constructicons in the movie , how could Devastator be in the movie? If I was mistaken please let me know.

No... you weren't mistaken. All my friends and I were surprised when we heard that too, especially since the toys had been out for a couple weeks and wasnt called Devastator.

Word is it was changed at the last moment during editing, I dont remember if they said why though.

Look on the bright side... "Devastator" has been introduced, so maybe he will be resurrected as the Devastator we know and love in the next one; ie... somehow his Spark transfered to surrounding vehicles ( it was downtown with construction going on) and they'll find a way to be "whole" again!

I'm just thinking out loud here... We have no idea what the possibilities of what "could be" since they were throwing the Allspark around like a hackysack. (I still want a figure of the killer Mountain Dew vending machine!)

'Devastator' in the movie is actually Brawl. They had some sort of miscommunication there and hopefully it'll be fixed in the DVD release.

I mean, c'mon! This 'Devastator' is a pansy compared to the REAL Devastator. Doesn't Bay know that?

yeah from my understanding devastator was a simple typo. He was the code name of brawl while the movie was being made, and in the one communication scene, aparently word never got out that his name was officially brawl now. Oops!
