According to
http://www.imdb.com,
http://www.movieweb.com, and
http://www.boxofficemojo.com Transformers The Movie is now ranked #26 in the US all-time top grossing list. For some, this is a huge accomplishment, for others it's a huge slap in the face.
One thing is for sure, no matter what the opinoin, the people love TRANSFORMERS!

Just goes to show what is possible when you make a movie for more than just the fandom. This movie was popular with moms promoting it for their kids to watch from what I have read about it. The fandom should be proud and all the supporters of it should take a bow and be in awe of its accomplishments with its popularity and with the toys success unlike other summer films whose toy lined are collecting dust on the shelves. Need not to be mentioned which ones as they are fairly obvious. It beat out others movies without the use of steroids. Oops my bad. That is another thread altogether different on a sports forum I belong to too.

Why is 26th of all time a slap in the face? That's a pretty amazing accomplishment and shows just how awesome we already know this franchise is. I doubt Bay and Spielberg consider it a slap in the face...

Wow. It seems people are trying to atagonize someone...real classy folks. Alex Kingdom is a major TF fan and TFers the movie being profitable doesnt make him a pariah...
Now he might have been wrong about his box office estimates.

I did not like the movie, at all. Yet I do not consider its financial success a slap in the face. It is because how much money a movie makes has absolutely no bearing on how much I like a film. Really box office bank is something I could care less about unless I really want a sequel. The fact that alot of people love the film is great for them. I am not just saying that either.

Yes, lets not knock Alex for his thoughts on the movie or whats its earnings would be. He stuck true to himself and long after the movie was out still stuck with his original thoughts. He didnt get wishy washy after the movie and flop back and forth like I've seen some people do.
Now Sootrypticon and his whining is a whole new story altogether

to the tf fans out there transformers
have always bin alive and well sure in the early 90's
it was more of an how can i say this a toy
that was out there but wasen't selling aswell
as it should
but thanks to beast wars, beast machines, rid/car robots,
armada, energon and even cybertron because with out those shows
giving transformers the comeback streak that it needded and got us back into transformers in all
(apart from the g1 series that made transformers
and early toys themselves and dioclone)
so we need to thank those shows that gave transformers
it's comeback
but to the people that are not tf fans that liked the
movie thank you going to see it

I wouldn't doubt that this movie will go up in the ranks before it leaves theaters. THe only thing that would have made that movie een better would be a Transformers theme.

2 things
1.I said, yah, where is alex kingdom? as I haven't seen a posdt from him in a while and
2. do you guys think bay will ruin transformers 2 by making megatron the aircarft carrier he wanted. I think it sould be ether a new character, titalwave(please be this),soundwave(some parts make laserbeak, ravage, ratbat, beatbox, and squaktalk), or shockwave.
