Possible ways that Megatron could return in the sequel. (Spoilers)

I was thinking that if Megatron wasnt totally dead just really really f****d up but had enough power to change his alt mode that this could be a way for him to come back...

So they are dropping his carcass into the ocean and they have a pretty serious naval presence there as we see from the end of the movie, but what was probably there also was some nuclear submarines. So my idea is that megs, as he is fast sinking into the abyss, scans a closeby submarine, transforms and limps away into hiding.... this could even be expanded further by saying that as his strength returns he starts making plans to make an undersea base ala G1 cartoons..

Whaddya think??? too much?

What other ways could they bring Megs back?

Actually I'm pretty stumped on how he's gonna get out of this one...
I doubt Starscream's gonna rescue him.
Maybe some still loyal D-cons are going to save him...?
But he seems royaly screwed...

My guess would be that he will not be in TF2 and he will either a.) be resurrected by Unicron, as per rumors about future films or b.) the fissure will dump off into some undersea caverns, leaving their corpses in tact and able to be resurrected by someone in the future or c.) the cavern thing w/Unicron resurrection.

Easy - the Allspark in his chest brings him back, he scans the mode of either a stealth bomber or nuclear submarine or aircraft carrier and unleashes hell. Then Prime, in desperation, places the last fragment of the Allspark into his chest... becoming - ULTRA PRIME! And ULTRA PRIME combines with all the other autobots and fights ULTRA MEGATRON in the ruins of Tokyo!

... Ok...

I'm reeeeally hoping there was some sarcasm, irony or at least basic humour in there towards the end...

Don't take what I said seriously. I do hope Megatron comes back in an Earthen mode, but I HATE Combining abilities. The only toys I allow for those are Energon Prime and Cybertron Prime. If they ever made Leader Prime or Protoform Prime 2007 'combine', I would hang myself.

Hi. This is my first post on the board. I'm proud to be a Transfan for 20 years. :D .Well, I hope Megatron will be back in Transformers 3 either as himself or as Galvatron, I don't care.

Simple (all happens in the final moments of the Transformers film before Starscream speeds away)

Starscream sees the allspark used to destroy Megatron - but knows, unlike the Autobots, that even a fragment can rebuild the whole thing.

Quickly rallying Barricade and Skorponok he instructs them to find where they take Megatron and the other Decepticon bodies. Skorponok adapts his mode to underwater travel - he's waiting under the Navy ships when the bodies are dumped.

He secures each one and pulls them back to a nearby island. From Megatron's body Starscream finds elements of the Allspark and is able to rebuild the fallen Decepticons.

Both Megatron and Starscream are annoyed that the remains of the Allspark they have wasnt enough to fully rebuild the Allspark - what they need is a much larger piece....like the piece Prime took. Starscream is furious Megatron shows him no gratitude for rebuilding him...and swears revenge after years of loyal service. Megatron instructs Starscream to return to Cybertron and bring reinforcements while Megatron and the rebuilt Decepticons look for energon on Earth.

Having been on Earth for months looking for the Allspark the Decepticons had gone into battle severely weakened against Earth's military - fully charged and with reinforcements they'll be able to get the Allspark back from Prime...and finish him off for good.....

As blasphemous as this may be, I'd like to see someone OTHER than Megatron take the spotlight.

Perhaps the Quintessons, as intergalactic Mad Scientists, who made the AllSpark, and thus the Transformers.

Maybe Shockwave, now leading the Decepticons after Megatron's death.

In the case of Megatron's return, I'd like to see him try something different, like using the Key to Vector Sigma. It could act like a brother to the AllSpark. turning organics into robots, rather than electronics into robots.

And thus begins the Beast Wars O.O
Yay ^^
They won't do Beast Wars, but I can dream....

More like Beast Machines, where Megatron tried to turn Cybertron 100% technological, rather than 50% Organic, 50% technological.

Wow, you can say Beast Machines Megatron was the most successful villain ever, since he actually took over the whole of Cybertron for a short while.

I'm still peeved that tech specs wise, he was always lower than Primal. He was way smarter. 8) :P

Since the movie ended I said that most likely the allspark is going to rebuild him into Galvatron...but then someone made the point that he only had 20 minutes in the movie, and its too soon, if ever, to bring Galvatron into the movies. Then I got thinking maybe that second generation of Generation one (Hot Rod, Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Springer, Galvatron, Cyclonus, Scourge) should all stay out of the movies. After all it was the whole new generation of characters that killed Generation one!

I'll be fine either way with Galvatron or Megatron, either name they give him, as long as He's back for the second one I'll be happy. Honestly though I Think they really screwed up with this one, and they really gave him poor chances of making a return. I mean his chest was completly hollowed out, his spark extinguished and his body is currently being crushed by water pressure in the Laurentian Abyss! Its really my only real major complaint about the movie.

In superhereo movies, you deal with one villan at a time, and killing off the villan is fine, but in a "faction" movie you don't kill off the leader of the villans unless you don't plan on making sequels! Can you imagine what the X-men movies would be if they killed Magneto in the first one? Yeah bad movie Micheal bay!

Megatrons presense in a way could compare to Venom in spiderman 3... 20 minutes of screen time then you kill him off for good!

The military thought putting Megatron under the immense pressure and freezing temperature under the sea, would permanently bury him.

But the shard of Allspark in his chest slowly heals, and Megatron regains his lifeforce.

It was too late when Prime, who is in possession of another shard of Allspark, realized that his piece also reawakens. He used it to bring Jazz back to life. But already, he knows, Megatron will be coming back.

The Aircraft carrier transformers that Micheal Bay wanted finds him reprogrms Megatron and Upgradeds him to a an earth Mode and The Aircraft Carrier is Tidal Wave!

Megatron should really have an Earth alt mode in the sequel.

It will be so dumb not to have one.

Just leave him dead and let a worthy villain step in like Soundwave or Shockwave.

Do you really, really want movie Megatron to come back?

Come on, really?

Starscream can fill in his shoes.

Then leave Megatron out for Transformers 3.

More screentime for Starscream would be great. I'm going to sound like a nerd for saying this, but I would like to see Starscream, Shockwave, and Soundwave fighting each other for supremacy.

Among the 3, I would think the "S" guy would win in the end.

Hahaha. That really is one of my problems with having Shockwave and Soundwave in one movie, though. It would be really easy for people to get them confused. I'd like to see Megs return before the third movie, though. Or at least show him coming back online at the end of the second one if he won't be in it.

some of u lot are rather strange

If Michael Bay left out Megatron from Transformers you'd be in tears - and yet your saying we'd be better off without him in the sequal?

Thank god they ignore the fans when they make these things....

They had five guys with their names starting in "B" in TF1 (Brawl, Barricade, Bonecrusher, Blackout, Bumblebee), so why not go for a record number of "S"-Names in TF2?

I definitely want to see Megatron come back for TF2. He didn't have that much screentime in the first film and he needs to have an Earth mode in the sequel, a stealth fighter or something. The way I see it, Megs didn't fall all the way down the trench. He could have caught on an outcropping of rock that kept him from being crushed beyond repair. Then the piece of the Allspark inside his chest slowly regenerates him. As that's happening, Soundwave comes to Earth and finds Megatron clinging to life in the ocean and brings him to the surface where Megs completely heals and takes on an Earth form.
