Hehehe, that is cool. Ive always seen Kup as an El Camino guy though. Its the closest pick up truck that has the same shape as his G1 alt mode that i know of.

This would make a great alternator Kup though. I would use it as referance for a drawing if i had the time and energy.

I like it. If he was a bit more battered, maybe with some rust and some crumpled metal, it would make a good Kup. I've personally never seen a pickup that looks much like G1 Kup but if anyone has any pictures...post them!

Honestly, I think that truck is perfect. It's an old classic, just like Kup. I would say the only thing more fitting would be an antique pickup from the 1920's or 1930s, or even earlier. Like maybe an old Model-T pick-up.

Kup, an El Camino. they look nothing alike, but at the same time share many similarities, like the rear end especially.

Kup is meant to be an El-Camino. It's one of those things that just makes sense... maybe not the first time you see it, but the more you think about it, the more it just works and fits the character perfectly.

Like Ironhide and the black Topkick. Alot of fans were turned off at the idea, but I loved it from the get-go and now I can't imagine a movie Ironhide any other way, just like I can't imagine Kup NOT being a blue El-Camino...

I can't imagine Kup as an El Camino. It's just too sporty for an old fart like him. :-P

They do have the El Camino SS (Super Sport).

I've always seen El Caminos as muscle car type vehicles - not a truck. Something more fitting for Hot Rod than Kup. They are essentially Chevelles / Malibus with a mini-bed...

Hmm..ive never seen them as sporty, just big old boats for a car. Just because something has a big engine that doesnt mean its sporty. I mean you could put a V12 in a metro, but it wouldnt make it sporty.

Sporty is something like a ferrari, lambo, BMW M5 etc etc.

BTW i think hotrod would be best suited to a Ferrari Enzo, or an F40.

These cars are too old to fit either character. I know Kup is an old fart and all, but a truck from the 30's is just too old for even him. Something from the 60's onwards is more suited to him, hence why i thought of the el camino, especially since they look alike.

Hotrod cantbe a muscle car or an actual hotrod, again these types of cars are too old for his character. Hot rod needs to be something sporty and new, like maybe a souped up tuner car or something, or maybe even an italian supercar like a pagani zonda maybe.

Dude, what the hell is wrong with you?
First off, That's a 1950 Chevy, second, tuners=suck, imports=suck, italian cars=suck.

GET USED TO IT.

That truck s good because of it's lines, not color per-say, and that Boss 302 is good because of it's age. Hot rod is like a teen, and we like Muscle cars. I can see it better than some half-ass honda.

Yes, I'm very biased.

I agree with Sherade, especially about Kup. For him the older the truck the batter.

You are wrong. Most american cars suck due to their poor build quality and unreliable engines, and lack of handling. Tuners are great, supercars are great and imports are great. GET USED TO THAT!

And even if it is a 50's chevy, its still too old looking to be kup.

Pfft...a 50's chevy for kup what a crock...i mean did his G1 alt mode look anything like a 50's chevy? Didnt think so.

His G1 mode was purely Cybertronian, and even then it was an antique just like his weapon. He was very old-fashioned. An antique track is what best suits Kup, not a modern or even 20 year old truck. He needs something really really old. No newer than a 1950's model.

I'm sure a '60 er, 62 could pull it off, but only maybe.

And...UNRELIABLE ENGINES?
POOR BUILD QUALTY?
BAD HANDLING?
Obviously you've never seen and or especially driven a, I dunno, Ford Mustang, Ford GT40, Ford GT, Dodge Viper, Camaro..(except the 2001-2 ones), Firebird, you know, the good stuff. But, I've never driven Gt GT40 or viper, but, I've seen 'em race.

You think cars are built poorly you haven't seen the *ORIGINAL* Gone in Sixty Seconds. All that damage is real.
No CGI back then.

Go watch some quater miles. You'd be amazed at what a Nova can do.

ACTUALLY i OWN the original gone in 60 seconds, and i know all that was real. But that doesnt change the FACT that american cars handle like ass. Sure they go like lightening in a straight line, but as soon as you hit the slightest turn your screwed.

Dont get me wrong, i LOVE old american cars. But most of the newer more recent stuff is just GM made rubbish. Ford Pinto anyone? Should have called it the BBQ as it spent more time on fire than running properly. New ford Mustang, although great in the looks depertment, has pre-historic rear suspension. Same goes for the new line of "sporty" truck that they sell. The build quality is useless, and the suspension is atrocious.

I used to live in america so i know what im talking about, and my wife is american and has told me some real horror stories about cars she has owned. Like the fox body mustang she had that always caught fire due to a build defect.

Dodge Viper is great, but again hit a turn and you are screwed. Power is nothing without control, and although most muscle cars make great dragters, they dont hold a candle to the road holding finesse of must japanise and euro sports cars.

A Mitsubishi Lancer would OWN a Dodge Viper or a Mustang or even a Shelby on a race track. The american muscle would own the lancer in the straights but the lancer would soon catch up and pull away in the corners.
