Tooling around the web I found this article over at TFORMERS:

It seems that the comic animated prequil will be a Walmart exclusive on the eventual movie DVD release.

Thankfuly, Walmart is better at shipping movies over toys or I'd fear I never would get to enjoy this!

Still, one can't help but wonder what Targets rebuttle will be :-?

If for that reason it doesn't go that way, give me a call, I'll send you one.

I have about 10 Walmarts near me!

"IDW Publishing's Editor-In-Chief has announced a bonus feature that will be a store-exclusive for the "Transformers" DVD. One of the bonus features will be an animated version of the entire Movie Prequel miniseries from IDW Publishing.

Chris Ryall reveals that the feature will only be available on the DVD collection being sold at Wal-Mart. The animated version will feature voicework from Peter Cullen and others, says Mr. Ryall.

The feature will have "[g]ood sound effects, cool movement of panels and voices," Mr. Ryall describes. "[I]t's pretty awesome to see our comic turned into something like that. And having Cullen speak our words is an insanely exciting thing, too."

This revelation by Mr. Ryall may help clarify the news that Mark Ryan, voice of Bumblebee in "Transformers," revealed this in an interview last month that had recorded some new material for a prequel. Mr. Ryan said that the content will be included in the bonus features of the DVD release of the film."

So basically it is not an animated cartoon, rather a comic book paged reading with sounds..similar to the crossgen dvds released awhile back??

Well that kinda Blows if you ask me....

Why couldn't they just do a full out animated feature and sell it on another disc.. more moeny that way.. and they could use the same studios Marvel is using for their animated releases.. those guys rule!!

That is very true in cell animation.

But I'm pretty sure this is just going to be some panaramics across the existing pictures, with no real motion at all.
