That's what i'd like to see. I mean hey, the crazy scientist persona worked in Back to the Future, right?

:)

Hehehe, yeah that would be fun but it wouldnt suit the realistic nature of the movie.

If it was a cartoon then yeah but i dont see it working for the movie.

What about Kelsey Grammar for WheelJack? I think he'd be good

Actually, I think Christopher Lloyd would work, if he was speaking normally.

nah, Lloyd wouldn't be a good fit. im hoping they stick with wheeljack's NY accent voice. i kinda see joe pesci playing wheeljack cause of his accent.

Christopher Lloyd would be a brilliant Wheeljack, even in a realistic style movie. He just fits Wheeljack's "mad scientist"/daredevil persona.

Christopher Lloyd would be a perfect fit for Wheeljack, Especially since Emmet L Brown and both Wheeljack are mad scientists ^_^

Kelsey Grammer wouldn't do it as Wheeljack, for me, but I'd love to see him as some other TF. He's badass. Lloyd could do a good Wheeljack, as long as it wasn't too far over the top. But who knows, with all the effects, it might not matter.

OVer the top? Wheeljack is over the top. That is part of his personality. That is part of what makes Christopher Lloyd so perfect.

That's why I said "too far over the top". I know Wheeljack is the "mad scientist" type, and I think Lloyd could easily portray that, but I'd just want him to do a..."realistic mad scientist", not something from a Saturday morning cartoon. Lloyd could easily portray Wheeljack as he should be, I'm sure.

If not Kelsey fer Wheeljack, I wonder who he'd be good for. Kelsey Grammar's voice-work is awesome. I adore him.

Kelsey Grammer wouldbe good for either Sunstreaker or Tracks. He has that pompous attitude down pat.

He sounds waaaaay too old to be sunstreaker, that simply wouldnt work.

He'd make a good ultra magnus i think. Smart, wise, sophisticated etc etc...

I think Lloyd would make a great Wheeljack if he underplayed the character's eccentricity, rather than go all-out like he did in the first two BTTF movies. Grammer wouldn't be bad as another TF if it was another "straight" voice role.

My pick for Ultra Magnus would be Kurtwood Smith. Red Foreman may seem like an odd pick for Optimus Prime's brother-in-arms ("Bumblebee, the reason you keep getting blasted to pieces is because you're a dumbass!" :-P), but I liked him as the Federation President in Star Trek VI; that kind of voice I can easily hear coming out of UM.

I was thinking Perceptor, but if you already have a "medical officer" :-? in Rachet, you don't really another Scientist-type guy in (Kelsey Grammer) in Perceptor. But he could defintley do Tracks Wheeljack, Hound, Hot Rod, or Sideswipe IMO would make alot of sense for tactical reasons since the Cons wupped their butts in the film, and how about letting Prime have his cannon all the dang time???   Theres room enough in that cab for it man...

Back to the 2nd Show, I'm not too sure they want big name actor guys in these films. Though with all the money it made, I'm sure they'll be lining up to do the 2nd film. I doubt we're gonna see Ultra Magnus (as WE KNOW HIM) at all in this series; if we do he won't "Magnus" he'll be named it, but he would not be himself. He'd be a SUV or something with Kup's personality? Hot Rod ( as a Corvette) is most likely who'd they bring on next since they Killed JAZZ? or HOUND, and possibly RC for Mckayla to ride around on...they already have the toy? :P New JEEP WRANGLERS, AND CORVETTES, I smell GMs and Chevy's; those are your two new characters...at least for the Autobots. Maybe they plan to Kill someboy in each movie? It would actually make some realistic sense? :-? :? In a destructive sort of way...

I don't think they should use well known actors for any of the transformers as it takes away from the character.

HAAHAHAHA! Oh man i can just see that now.... "Bumblebee...bad things dont happen to you because you are unlucky. Bad things happen to you because you are a dumbass"

Yeah i could see him as Magnus.

I dont understand how people can see frasier doing the voice of a character like hot rod or sideswipe...

Hes just too old and wise sounding, hot rod is a gung-ho rebel so a wise and intelligent voice like frasiers just wouldnt fit him. Same goes for sideswipe. Personally i think they should get judd nelson back for hot rod. :P

For Sideswipe should be voiced by Alessandro Juliani, as for Hot rod, Judd Nelson should make a comeback

Christopher Lloyd as Wheeljack is an AWESOME idea!!

For some reason I now have that maniacal laugh of his from the end of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" playing in my head along with Wheeljack's head thrown back in a mad gigglefit.

Kelsey Grammer as Kup would be quite cool.
He always plays the wise sage type but the grumpy old miser type i think he would enjoy.

after watching a few more episodes of G1, i think if they did voice actors only, John DiMaggio of Bender/Futurama fame would be the ONLY other logical choice... if they didn't use Christopher Lloyd that is. ;)

I definitely think Christopher Lloyd could do it...
Of course he would just have to tone it down a little.

But when I think of Wheeljack's voice, I think of the bigger guy from the Arby's commercial, who said something like,
"I know where I'm going for lunch"...
He has a deeper voice, AND the northeastern accent.
