I've been really into Ratchet's minigun in the movie. And now wondering was his minigun his hand or was it a gun attached to his hand?

It doesn't show, although it could be seperate from his hand.

By the way did anyone notice the guns in his legs when he was shooting at Starscream? Cool as it was, it made no sense.

I saw it on my 7th(and last ) view. When Sam was running and right before Starscream shot past them. He lifted his leg and it went off like a machine gun.

You can see his gun here, near center-top. I think that if it was his hand, it wouldn't, well...
It wouldn't look like that. I see his hand, and THEN a gun.


Take a look at that picture, compared to Bee's cannon arm.


I don't know if this helps anymore, but they way it's positioned (with that slant in the position of the gun)
makes it look like a hand held gun, than just his hand.

It was a seperate weapon. The buzzsaw he used to slice off Brawl's (not Devastator, mistake in subtitles) hand was attached. Besides Ratchet's hands look like BW Dinobot's if you pay close enough attention.

Off the topic as mentioned numerous times befor Devastator is not a subtitle error. Michael Bay changed the name back to Devastator as he felt it was a better name then Brawl. He informed us of this at the Sydney press conference on June13th, the day after the world premiere.

i must have missed news on that. i guess it pays to pay attention.

We should check out the toy.

Unfortunately the toy doesn't seem to have anything except for a Shield/Claw and an Axe. Unless you get FABS which have more weapons

I haven't seen FAB ratchet yet. Does he have this gun thing?

I don't have pics, but just above his left hand/claw is a twin barreled gun. Looks like a double-gatlin gun or something. The right hand is the axe/plastic "water" spring-loaded mechanism. I don't recall any guns on the legs of that toy.

he probably has it in his leg because he has fixing tools in his hands
