Not really. It's still so segmented and busy, and it's not rid of the beak effect, either.

I could see that being used on Nemesis Prime or if Prime gets damaged and has to be reformatted in the sequel or something

In all honesty, I prefer the final desing better. It is more like Optimus Prime's classic visage. The early concept sketch is not and without the face plate, the face looks like a Vampire's.

No. It would take a total redesign. Soundwave's head is shaped too differently.

I like, but not as much as the final design. I'm not sure how you could say the mouth looks better, but to each his own. I really like the final design, and this feels much too Gundam-y for my tastes.

its a cool head but it dosent look like prime.

not quite prime enough. It's a very cool design but it's only a vague prime the final design was quite recognisable as prime and I kinda liked it
(if only he had chin... everyone else gets a chin)

Um, He did have a chin. In fact, he had a beard. Without his face plate, his face reminded me a bit of Abraham Lincoln, whom Prime shares some personality traits with as well.

oky ya. he does kinda have a chin. but it just seems less pronounced the others so I didn't really realize it was there in the movie (maybe just to much action going on)

It wasn't less pronounced, his face is just significantly longer, including the nose, As I said, like Abraham Lincoln—long narrow face, long aquiline nose, pronouced cheek ridges, and the "beard". It is the length of the nose which placed th mouth further down on his face, and with it his chin.

The movie head got the job done. No complaints here.

I prefer the final movie head design. Like the others have said before, this one looks way too much like a Gundam.

It does look very Gundam-ey, but I think the movie version could have gone in a slightly more angular direction like this posted pic. Not to this degree, but just a little less rouded than it turned out though. I like Prime's mouth the way it is though. The mouth on this pic looks like where babies come from. Movie Starscream has that same problem.
