TRANSFORMERS score CD: First details come out (including 2-disc set possibility)

Here's the report.

In brief:

- CDs are being physically stamped-out right now.

- Sources say it sounds "AWESOME!"

- The album is one disc and will be as "complete as possible".

- Warners *might* make a 2-disc set containing ALL of the music composed (but not actually used) for the movie. Whether they do this depends on how well sales of the initial release are (in my humble opinion if the presales on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other sites are any indication then sales might go quite well indeed).

- Public demand might have played a role in when the score CD is published because it was already slated for release but for "later" in November. Warners is now "speeding up" the release process.

That's all for now but if anything else crosses the desk here I'll pass it along y'all's way :-)

I'd buy the more complete 2 disc set.

Was there even 2 discs worth of material?

There was at least 90 minutes of music that was done for the movie. But Jablonsky and his crew also did the music for the video game. I suppose a 2-disc set could contain all of the stuff that they've done for the movie franchise including trailer music etc.

I liked the movie's score enough to actually buy both versions should the 2-disc edition ever make it to store shelves.

Same here. As long as the "Autobot's Descend" score is on the first version, I'll be happy to pick up the single-disc soundtrack to tie me over until the possible 2-disc version comes out!

That is delicious. As long as it has the Autobots descending track, the Scorpionok, and everything in that FX Ripped All-Spark track, I'm happy.

I think the support for the score album has taken Paramount/Warner by surprise.
Although since the album soundtrack they released was utter crap, it really should not have been a surprise that people would want a decent sounding soundtrack.

This is exciting. I've even got an address now, so I can get over to Amazon and get it preordered. Sweet.
