Yes, the Allspark is in the other series, more accurately it is named in the other series. A common exclamation by Transformers is, "By the Allspark!" The Allspark is the Spark of Primus—the creator god of the Transformers—and the source of all sparks. The one thing that made the movie unique is it made the Allspark a physical object.

so technically, it counts as a bay-made continuity... or maybe primus gave his spark into a cube b4 unicron killed him... (ooooh tf3 setup!)

It isn't a "Bay-made" continuity. The Allspark has pretty much been a part of Transformers continuity for a very long time, the movie simply gave it a shape. In G1, it was a well in the center of Cybertron—the Well of All Sparks. And, the main "gate-way" to the Allspark was the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Also, the new Animated series is also supposed to have the Allspark as a physical object.

Possible, since Prime said that they did not know where the cube came from or how they got it.

There could be so many interesting ways for them to go with this. One idea I've had for a while is that perhaps it could be made by the Quintessons as a planet-conquering weapon. Just perhaps in the Transformers case, something unexpected happened & they became more than just homocidal drones created from the transformed tech of the world they wish to conquer. If nothing else they could use it as an excuse to have other allsparks.
