Yeah but I don't think 'intelligence' per se wins the fight. Cunning does.

Starscreame has got cunningness.And Ops has got the huge gun and he is smart..It is a tie.

I just remembered that starscream DID have laser. Used them against the Raptors.

We do not know if Movie Starscream is cunning.

He didn't get enough screentime to show us anything other than he is a fancy flyer with a short attention span.

Ok but he is fast as the jet so he could dive bomb Ops.

Starscream can fly. Optimus can't.

He doesn't have to fight Optimus on the ground. All he must do is to fire all his air-to-ground missiles, machine guns, and lasers against Optimus from the air.

he is very cunning he knocked out 3 major bots with in a matter of minutes...the way he swooped in and took care of ratchet and ironhide and burnt off before they could even strike back at him was awesome....screamer was the only con that barely got a scratch from that fight...smartest bot in my book.

Simple answer is if Bay/new director wants him to he will. They really didn't provide enough definitive evidence about the capabilities of either Prime or Starscream for anyone to be able to say who could take who.

What'll get Screamer every time is his inability to stick it out til the end. I love Screamer but he can really be a wuss.

SS best bet would be to go all f-22 and try to blast at prime while flying, and even then prime could still take a lot of damage.

In a up close and personal fight, Prime would beat the crap out of him.

Why do you think SS never went after prime, but decided to jump Ironhide and ratchet? ---fear of the OP!

That's a possibility, but you forgot the OTHER possibility--- fear of who ELSE wanted to fight Optimus!

Hrmmm.. tough call. Get Starscream on the ground hand-to-hand and he'd be dead just about as fast as bonecrusher. In the air its a tough call..Prime took a blast from Megatron's arm cannon and was still kicking. Ironhide "It's Megatron! Retreat!"...Prime" Its just you and me Megatron!"

...Decepticons fall to bits in seconds in Bay's universe. One does wonder why after a zillion years of war their armour is so weak a blade goes through like a knife through butter....
