Questions about the movie from a new site member

Hi guys and gals :) nice to see there's a good fansite out there that allows us to gather as fans and talk about the characters and stories that defined a part of our childhood

So anyway check it out "little b*tches (heh sorry, I thought what Jazz said was funny)...

Since a lot of you know more about the movie than I do (only seen it four times lol)... here's some questions.

1) Did Starscream say "Sorry to disturb you, Lord Megatron" when he and Megatron met on the Hoover dam or was I just hearing things? I, for one liked Starscream's voice... he sounded like the snake that he is 8)
2) What happened to Barricade (great lines like "WHERE ARE THE GLASSES" and "THIS ONE IS MINE")? I heard he was killed... that would suck because he was the coolest Decepticon IMHO with the exception of maybe Megatron.
3) Is there any official word as to where exactly Starscream was going when he broke the Earth's atmosphere? My best guess is that a few Decepticons (Shockwave, anyone?) were camping out on Mars as reinforcements or something.
4) Are Josh Duhamel and Tyrese scheduled to come back for the sequel(s)? They had good chemistry and were two of the few characters I cared about.
5) Who was the Autobot that Megatron killed with the spear on Cybertron?

1.) No.

2.) Barricade was shown to be killed in the comics for the movie, but Bay put the finishing touches on the film and what he says goes. Since no one saw his death, nor his carcass on the aircraft carrier at the end, he's technically not dead. A lot of the time, the comic isn't cannon, it's fan derived. (if anyone would fight it, Bay would.)

3.) No. As far as we can tell, Starscream left the planet just to escape the Autobots. There's no way he could handle them all on his own. He's most likely staying on the dark side of the moon (that's a guess though...but it would work.)

4.) Other than Bay, Spielberg, LaBeouf and Fox...no one's attached to the second film, so as of now...no. That could change however.

5.) Your standard run of the mill cannon fodder, no name Autobot. Basically just a face and body to be used on screen just to show how evil Megatron truly is. A simple nobody.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to Seibertron! WARNING: SEIBERTRON CONTAINS NUTS!

Wow sweet what a quick response... thanks man!

1) Starscream does say something before Megatron says "where is the cube" and I coulda sworn that's what it was. It's a minor detail that makes no difference but it's bothering me lol.
2) Hmm. Makes you wonder if the comics are just an off-shoot of the movie or if they're actually supposed to be part of the story. I thought it was odd how Barricade was supposedly heading to the fracas but instead he just disappears. I think he would be a cool one to bring back... especially if Prowl is in the next movie :-?
3) I agree with you, that's kinda what I though. Did you notice that Starscream just more or less watched Prime and Megs fight but did little else? I just wished he had some more lines. I had no problem with the other Decepticons having little to no lines, but Starscream has potential.
4) Ok. While Fox is great eye candy I hope she has more purpose than just the ornamental babe sidekick for LaBeouf. Recurring characters are good for a story, as long as they aren't lame like John Voight was lol...
5) That what I thought. If it had been somebody who mattered they probably would have mentioned it.

Thanks for the reply... keep them coming! It's gonna be a long 22 months til the next one lol

Well, you have to fall several times before you can walk. And you gotta walk before you can run. By that I mean I'm glad Fox was in this movie, it will hone her skills hopefully and her career will kick off on better-done acting roles after this movie. It's a good thing.

I like her style... her looks are all great and stuff, but she has charisma as an actress from what I can tell. Hopefully they tap into that.
