I'm interested to hear your views on whether Prime could beat Blackout and starsscream one-on-one. I actually think he could beat Brawl VERY easily. What do you think?

Funny...when I saw the movie Prime got his ass handed to him by Agent Smith Megatron.

Yeah but... He didn't.

I think he might be able to take Brawl, he's big and slow, Prime's quite agile.

I put Bonecrusher and Brawl in the same weight class so I think he can take Brawl.

Starscream... Well the ONLY area in which Starscream dominates is cunning. If he doesn't resort to something sneaky, Prime would win.

G1 Starscream maybe. 2007 Starscream however beat Blackout 1on1 in the prequel comics. He also made short work of half a dozen F22 jets. Remember how scared Ironhide and Ratchet were when they recognized their opponent. Just think about that for a moment. Two heavy Bots were together and got scared of this single Con. 2007 Screamer is quite a warrior, might give Prime some trouble.

Well, Ironhide knew that sam was with them, and sam was basically in the middle of the fight, if not directly under starscream.

However SS is no pushover and he did kind of own IH and Ratchet.

as far as giving prime trouble. it's hard to say as the two seem to keep avoiding each other in the show and the movie.....

Autobots are no match for the Decepticons.
No single Autobot, but Optimus Prime, could defeat any single powerful Decepticon.

Brawl got destroyed by Jazz, Ratchet, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Mikaela, and US military. That was a tough one.

I was very disappointed that Prime was so easily pushed around by Megatron. That was the one thing Prime has always had in every venue before the movie was that he was the toughest Transformer basically. Megatron could never beat Prime one on one before I can't understand why he could this time. Prime was always what made the decepticons really fear the autobots but in the movie it seems as though the autobots are lucky they even stood a chance against the decepticons. That isn't the way it should be. Hopefully this will be fixed in the sequel.

Prime could be beaten so easily, maybe because he fought very carefully in the city, in order to avoid further human casualties.

We could see his true strength on the freeway, decapitating Bonecrusher alone within 3 minutes.

Bring in Rodimus (not Rodimus as in Prime, but just Hot Rod)
and let Roddie and Optimus dual-whoop decepti-bums, headmasters style :P

One thing I was disappointed with about the movie. Makes me wonder how the Autobots were able to fight on for so many millennia. Remember Unicron trilogy, when the Autobots actually seemed to stand a chance (not saying that movie Autobots are dumb or anything).

Also, I was disappointed with how Prime never fought Blackout, Starscream, or Brawl. Also very disappointed that the movie spent so much time with the Frenzy and Scorponok fights. That desert attack thing was so lame. speaking of which, Scorponok himself was lame.

Starscream got one more big advantage over Prime. Flight. If he uses it wisely, Prime doesn't stand a chance at all.

Optimus Prime didn't beat Megatron he helped defeat him, but basically the Humans did 3/4 of the work.

They made Megatron so much stronger in the movie to add drama. Basically the hero has to face impossible odds and while it may seem like he'll lose, the hero comes out victorious in the end. It's the typical good vs. evil plot. Megs was taken down through human/Autobot perseverance and bravery, even though odds were against them. Cliche yes but that's how the plot works.

The human did a lot of running. And a 3/4 second spur of the moment thrust of the Allspark. Very helpful.
