Brawl is Devastator. Just a stupid arguement over the name and which is actually right. Same bot.

Wreckage isn't in the movie.

And they are not going to fix it for the DVD, for some yet to be known reason.

The way I understand it, Bay liked the name Devastator better, but as far as Hasbro's concerned, it's brawl.

The funniest thing about this to me is that I didn't notice it my wife did. She's not a TF fan at all she thinks the toys are awful and generaly doesn't like the whole line.

However she LOVED the movie and was the one who caught the name error. She pointed it out to me at the store and said something like, "How come he was Devastator in the movie and Brawl as a toy?"

I had no answer for her...

Does the character in the movie go by both names? Or is it just the toy and movie that are different?

During the production of the film, Bay used the code "Devastator" to refer to Brawl. Other codes were also used for other Decepticons. Such as "Soundbite" (or something like that), to refer to Frenzy.

Somehow, they forgot to change the name to Brawl in the release.

Wreckage is one of those..figures just released for more characters. Like how it was for Ninja Turtles. Not every single char was in game or cartoon (the first turtle toon) but they had alot of chars. So ya.

I wonder if they did originally consider to include wreckage. Like the case of Arcee.

Wreckage was not considered at all for the movie if I recall off hand. I think he was meant as a game only character (think boss battle or something along those lines).

As for the devastator/brawl issue, its the new Rumble is Red Frenzy is blue arguement, or Rumble is blue, frenzy is red if you prefer. Well I still consider him Brawl considering he's brawl in everything else but the film. But thats just me.

There seem to be some efforts to make Soundwave out of Soundbite during the production. But he just won't fit in. So they turned him into Frenzy.

Uhm... I wasn't talking about that at all...

I'm talking about the age old debate whether or not Frenzy is Blue or Red. Rumble was blue int he cartoon, but everywhere else, comics, even the toy packaging, Frenzy was the blue casseticon, not Rumble. (This is G1 I'm talking about, not anywhere even close to the movie's frenzy.)

As for the movie Frenzy yeah he was originally supposed to be soundwave or at least similar but they nixed that idea so they could "do a fan favorite properly"
