Just wanted a quick tally of who was getting what version.

I'm going for Target's transforming case.

These exclusives are driving me nuts, I really think they've gone overboard - there's just too many. I'm tired of posting stories about a new exclusive every 10 minutes...

The 2-Disc special edition will be fine for me. I really, really, really wish I could afford an HD-player, just so I could get the HD-DVD and get that special feature where you can look at the TF models, rotate them and zoom in to look at all the detail...

Only the HD version has that feature? that sucks.

Paramount stated that this just didn't look good enough in standard definition.

Chalk up a vote for the HD DVD version for me. I might even get that transforming case version as well.

Canadian Best Buy Exclusive although I'd like to know what the 32-page book and figure are first. I don't want to spend an extra $7 only to find out I already have both. Anyone know what they're going to be?

Best Buy Exclusive

My plan is to buy the single disc w/ prequel movie AND get the two-disc DVD. Then, sell off or give away the single disc but keep the prequel movie.

I'm skipping the freebies, and going right for the 2-disc dvd edition.

I wished the HD-DVD version would be a combo HD-DVD/DVD format like 300 was. Then I could play it anywhere on a portable DVD player or PC as well as on my X-Box 360's HD-DVD drive.

I placed my vote on the HD-DVD but tp be honest I will be getting a few of these guys to put in my movie display. I already have the Wal-Mart 2 pack, Will be getting the HD-DVD, Target Transforming case and the Suncoast tin. The other ones I can do without!

I'm just gonna go for the 2-Disc edition. Hopefully my Best Buy won't be sold out by the time I'm done with classes

Just pre-order it on Bestbuy.com, and put it in as "Store Pick Up." That way they will have to hold one for you. If it won't let you put the order in as "store pick up," you'll know they don't have any left.

I'm picking up the BestBuy one with the Robot Heroes, and the Target transforming DVD case. My mom will be buying the Wal-Mart 2-pack, so I'll just borrow the prequel disc from her.

The comic also comes with the standard version at Target. The 2-Disc Special Edition of the movie is the same everywhere, just in case people don't know that. It's the "exclusives" you get with the discs that are different (for example, with the Wal-Mart version, you also get the third "prequel" disc, at Target, you also get the transforming case, at Best Buy, you also get the Robot Heroes and Lithograph, etc...).

I've got 5 copies of the movie already. Ugh! Went to Walmart first. Saw their 2 disc special edition and the regular version (which I like the cover of). Went to Target and bought the HD version, the transforming case version and I had forgotten that Target's regular version comes with a new comic so I bought that again. I might take back the one extra to Walmart or maybe I'll keep it and give it to one of my friends or family members.

I think I've personally spent about $350+ between DVDs and seeing the movie 11 times in theatres plus treating 7 members of my family to see the movie.

I love the opening sound effects sequence for Dreamworks and Paramount at the beginning. It still gets me.

I'm listening to the movie right now while I'm at work. Speaking of which, I need to get back to doing just that.

Just got home from Walmart and watched the "Beginnings" DVD. It was great...even has the original voice of Megatron on it!!

I saw on the survey that the majority of people are going for the 2 Disk Special Edition... I dont see why. I know I dont personally watch "behind the scenes stuff, PLUS I feel better spending $20 and get the "prequel" so in 5-6 months when they come out with the "Unedited" edition like the IMAX or better ( the Circuit City edition comes with a card with 15 minutes of bonus footage) I wont feel bad plopping down another $20-25. That edition will have the unedited movie plus all the behind the scenes stuff, hell, maybe TF2 sneak peak?!?!

Bottomline...The Begging rocked!
