Ratchet is bloodthirsty! (and impersonates Scooby Doo)

Awright, this is something I caught for the first time tonight while watching Transformers on DVD, and it's cracked me up all evening...

After Sam's parents barge into his room and the Autobots are trying to hide, Ironhide asks Optimus if he can "take them out" with his cannons.

Watch what Ratchet's doing behind Ironhide. He enthusiastically nods his head and goes "YeahYeahYeahYeah!"

He sounds just like Scooby Doo! But I thought that Ratchet wanted to *save* lives, not snuff them out!

It's pretty hilarious

I noticed it too, but it almost looks like he's trying to STOP Ironhide, while going "yeah yeah yeah!". Some medic! Did he do anything to help anyone, besides his magic healing laser ray that miraculously "healed" BB? Let's face it, he's just as bloodthirsty as Ironhide, but got slapped with "medic" cause someone has to be!

Me three! It was familiar to me when I heard him the first time saying "yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah". Now I know that it was Scooby-Doo-like.

I keep hearing about thinks that I missed, mostly because I had my head in my hands for so much of this film. This is why I really should give it a second look, if only so I can tear it down point for point.
(Although I had to make myself stop posting about the movie, because I was getting too worked up, so maybe I should just leave it alone!)

It's ironic that Don Messick the voice actor that originally did Ratchet, also did Scooby doo too.

Ratchet is saying, "Yeah, yeah" at the point where Ironhide is mentioning that Sam's parents are annoying. It is not until a few seconds after that Ironhide offers to "take them out." I don't think Ratchet was down for that.

Don Messick did both originally. So yes.

I just got done watching the movie again. Ratchet is saying "Yeah, yeah, yeah" as in "...riiight..."

He's clearly grabbing Ironhide's arm to stop him, not aiming at the parents.

Besides, the two of them don't get along. This much is clear to see in the entire clip.

There are so many hidden tributes in the TF Movie. It's weird. It's almost like getting a shitload of Easter Eggs on a DVD. Except it's being publicized and not so Easter Eggy. :?

Ironhide and ratchet are like best friends in the movie, they horsed around a lot.

It looked like Ratchet was shaking IH's arm saying Yeah, yeah, yeah.

umm.. that ray apparently didn't do anything right away. He was addressing the vocalizer on bumblebee while explaining it was damaged in battle. He uses the laser, points it at BB for a moment, but nothing really happens.

Sorry, please watch this again if you feel differently.
DO tell me what you see being healed, and correct me if I am wrong, I will want to know and show myself.

People were lead to believe it was the Allspark that healed Bumblebee (which is more feasible), but the writers at one point said it was Ratchet's laser, but we never really received a solidified answer because the writers are known for flip flopping.

The Original voice of Freddy was Frank Welker (Megatron) and Shaggy was Casey Kasum (Bluestreak and Cliffjumper).

Scooby Doo is also played by Frank Welker now, He also plays just about every single Animal Voice on TV, Especially Santa's Little Helper in The Simpsons and Nibbler in Futurama.

Hehe, now I know (& knowing is half the battle) I can really hear it in Nibblers voice!
