Its amazing in HD- I saw no flaws in it. The only problem I ever had with TF(even in the theater) was the Osprey scene with the soldiers dialogue, there were too many switch focusing shots. Use double cameras off the same angle if you are having light issues and have to use a small depth of field IMO ... other than that the transfer was perfect. Don't let the purists make you feel that the DD Plus audio is anything less than amazing as well- TF has one of the best mixes in movie history- it doesnt need to be uncompressed to be appreciated. The web enabled stuff on the HD-DVD took a while to update but other than that there are no problems with the film. The Tech Inspector was a little Gimmicky- its nice to see the 3d models but its just not presented well. There is a big difference between 1080p and 1080i- I especially noticed more of the textures on the TFs than I remember in the theater (I sit in the back row).

LOL...if they ever release it. Paramount is strictly HD-DVD as well as Universal. Its good to have both players if you dont mind spending the cash. I ended up saving- TF in HD only cost $15 when I bought another HD-DVD.

I watched the HD DVD last night. It's beautiful! I can't wait to go home and watch the special features tonight. I heard that I make a brief appearance at Botcon in one of the features along with Tigertracks. That just made my day!

I actually got both the 1 disc and the HD-DVD version. One (HD-DVD) for regular viewing, and the regular one for on the go whenever I don't feel like lugging a bulky X-Box 360 HD-DVD drive with my laptop. Quality's pretty comparable to me unless you sit up about a foot from the screen. There's a great article by Firing Squad on the differences between DVD and HD-DVD:
