Autobot arrival scene

Am I the only one that during that scene really hates that kid running with the camera and shouting how much cool it was? He ruins the flow of the scene I think with that line and the next, "I swear to God". He's fine while running out there, but those two lines just suck. :-(

DVD really made me think about it as I watched it over and over.

lol j/k, I think it was just one of those things, you notice he said it was "Cooler than Armaggedon". Riiiiigght, a meteor landing compared to a movie. Nice one Bay.

Yeah it kinda sucked.

It was only there to pump up Bay's ego.

Bay wanted to make the movie realistic. If aliens fall near your house, wouldn't you get your camera and say "I swear god" and all the other lines that kid said?

1)I'll adopt them as my pets - man eating pets
2)I'd make allies with the Decepticons and then betray them.
3)Zombie virus? Cool!

Do take note that Megatron promptly flicked a person into a car, Frenzy is obssessed with human pants, Barricade likes playing rough interrogation, Starscream likes launching missiles.

I don't think Frenzy was built for that though.

The line was meant to be funny. How could anyone watching that scene and knowing Bay made Armageddon not laugh? I mean it's nothing genius or anything, but it was funny. Quite so in fact.

Heck, if anything it could be construed as a little jab at himself.

Personally, I think Bay could be a prick to work with at times, but the person, Bay himself seems like a pretty cool guy.

*shrugs* People like what they like and don't what they don't.

The kid running out there excited is one thing, but it was just crappy after that. Funny the first time I saw it, annoying the second time, and stupid from then on. Unquestionably one of the best parts of the movie, marred by something that doesn't even matter. Really, do I care what he's directed in the past? Not one bit actually, and I'd rather not hear it in the middle of such an exciting part. Plenty of other humans in the scene and none of them are being tools. Like Shia says in one part of the DVD extras about a line he had while on the ledge, "it's such a **** line".

did you know that there was 3 people from disney channel in the movie: the driver in the truck when that S7 guy interrogated sam, that kid with the camera, and the guy on the t.v. "My mopeds under that thing, whos going to pay for that"?

You know I have NOTHING against fat kids but there's a lot of fat kids out there that are very annoying because they get teased or whatever and just... ugh. I can't stand them. That was one of those kids. I never really gave it much thought until now but that did ruin one of the best parts in the movie. heh Ratchet should have landed on him.

Or run over him after getting an alt-mode. Or land on his house.
