Check it out here!

That's ranked #19 in sales of all music: it's highest yet (that I'm aware of).

The Transformers score is also #3 in movie soundtracks, after the soundtracks for Across The Universe and High School Musical 2.

WHY ISN'T THIS CD OUT IN MORE STORES?!?!? :???:

Let's hope that come this Tuesday morning that Transformers: The Score is on more shelves

I would just as soon as not see the movie score out in any stores at all. It did a major disservice to the movie. I bought it to listen to the symphonic movements in the movie and there were none at all on the cd soundtrack. There were extra punk junk songs that had nothing to do with the movie. In fact, just listening to the cd you would have a hard time associating it with transformers (except for the packaging). It is not worth the money. I sure hope the next Transformers movie does not include anything with singing, or at least hire someone equipped to do something on an epic scale.
So the real question here is, how do I get the movie score that has the symphonic stuff?

you're talking about the soundtrack that released a few months ago, right?? it is pretty much standard that all major movies come out with a soundtrack. you could have just looked at the back of the case and seen "linkin park" along with other assorted pop-star's names.

the "score" was just recently released, and is currently suffering from distribution problems, despite TheKnightShift's valiant efforts to ensure us all a copy :?

(blushing profusely :D )

Ahhh I didn't really do much. Just raised a stink and started a petition. It could have been anyone.

One of the best things that happened to me because of this was how it led me to meet a lot of wonderful, amazing people (and a lot of 'em are here on Seibertron's forums  )

Got some more info about the score CD's distribution: a source says Warner Records is trying to restock Amazon first 'cuz that's where the most apparent demand is, but they are rushing to get this out in stores too and "soon". Said it wouldn't be long before it would be widely available in more stores.

If it was already on shelves, I don't doubt that we would see it skyrocket on the traditional sales charts like Billboard's. Hopefully, somebody in the right place does realize this and we'll get to see that happen soon

I am so glad to hear there is a difference between the soundtrack and the score. I went down to the local Target to get a copy as soon as you announced it was available. Thanks for the info! Too bad they had to release that disappointing cd in the first place.

The score is far superior to the soundtrack. Why it took so long to release it is beyond me. The only bad thing about it was I had to drive to Indiana to get it(I was already there visiting family, but still...)

Front Paged and Credited.

The more stuff we post about how great guns the Score is selling, hopefully the more the big wigs will take notice and produce more copies for worldwide distribution.

I was sad to not see it available in brick and mortar yet. It might have been smart for them to do this last week when the movie came out.

I suppose as long as it gets released, it's good.

It's so high on the charts because you can't find it in stores ANYWHERE!! I'm glad the soundtrack is doing so well. I never expected the music of this type of movie to be so unique and appealing. *sigh* Guess I'd better get to Amazon.com then! Yeah Steve Jablonsky!!

I had to order my CD from Target/Amazon. The score is so beautiful that it brought actual tears to my eyes. It's been a long time since music has done that.

TheKnightShift, you freakin' rock! Thank you so much for all that you have done getting this CD released. To think what I would have missed.....

Steve Jablonsky is one incredible composer. Wow.

Could not agree more. Why they thought we'd go gaga over some rock ballads, vs the Symphonic score is beyond me.

Exec: Hey guys whens the Soundtrack coming out?
Worker bee: We'll we want to put out the score first since, you hear it thru the whole movie.
Exec: WHHAAAT!, These people dont want no stinkin score, This is HEAVY METAL action, They want hard rock, no put out that one first. We'll think about the score. Boys dont want no score.
Worker bee:............But the score is great sir.
Exec: do as i say.

Steve Jablonsky(sp?)'s Score is a Truely marvelous musical tapestry. The Themes are so dramatic(aside from the one where Blackout is destroying the Desert Base), that they entice the hairs on my arms to stand. This is especially true during the Autobots' arrival on earth. That scene is one of the most dramatic moments in Cinema that I've seen in a long time; 300 was full of those "Instant Classic" moments, but I know that the scene with Optimus' first transformation will live on in history... And I haven't even talked about the Opening scene. I've got Goosebumps even as I write over here... The Music really sold this one. Michael Bay's pretty good with the music for most of his movies(I can't really vouch for Bad Boys so much), and Steve Jablonsky has some impressive credits under his belt. I'm quite satisfied with his work on Transformers.

Yeah there are many parts of the Score that remind me of LotR and Spiderman as well, but the metallic sounds in particular are what sets this Score apart from all that have come before it.

Arrival is still one of the best pieces of movie music I have heard in a long long time. (Probably the best since "Rainbow Connection! :P )
