Had a little surprise,,,

I only see my partner maybe once every few months due to us living so far apart.
For the last visit (from which I've just returned) she apparently had something planned.
And I found out quite quickly that she'd managed to get us two tickets to Transformers at the Imax in London.
Now I've never been to an Imax, and never thought about it.
But by Primus was it worth it
I'll probably sound pretty noobish here but... That screen was enormous and I found I had to actually turn my head quite a lot to really see what was going on.
Unbelievable. The amount of detail you miss on the smaller screen is actually so much that it was well worth seeing the film once more. Like the amount of detail on Blackout as he's destroying the SOCCENT base in the distance. You can still see so much on him from that far away. And the extra scenes were brilliant (I don't have the DVD yet, I'm in the UK). Like the pawn shop owner, who was just hilarious.
I walked out of there with my eyes burning. But it was so worth it. The sound was amazing, the visuals were so much better (if not a little blurry) and the deleted scenes - while, from the outset, weren't too appealing - were worth another go-around.
Now I just need to find a way to top that for my partner next time I visit her
And no, I'm not asking for suggestions, I know how messy that'd get
This was just a little recounting of one of the best nights I've had in a long time.
It was a pleasure wasting your evening, folks
