One shall stand, One shall fall

just noticed, not really a mistake, but kind of ironically funny in a dark way.
At the showdown at the end, Prime says, *of course* "One shall fall, one shall stand!"
Which is a pretty harda$$ thing to say to someone if you think about it. But of course the next time we see Prime, he's flying end over end through the air.
He didn't do that "Stand" thing all that well, other then what he did to BoneCrusher, he pretty much got completely owned by MegaTron
Just kinda funny, "One shall stand" -Prime goes flying-

Yes,it's ironic for that to happen. It's like this:
Prime: On shall stand, one shall fall
Megatron: { Oh i'll make you fall alright!} *smack*!
On another note i hate how when he gave thta speech that we didn't see prime say it, all we saw was Sam kinda hiding

other then the brutal punch to the mouth that he gave BoneCrusher, he really didn't show much as a warrior.
Idk why but now whenever I watch the end scene it just makes me chuckle, it's just such a harda$$ line, "One Shall Fall!" You really gotta back up a statement like that with something other then your body flying through the air crashing into things.

That is one hilarious perspective on the fight. I do agree: Prime should have put up a better fight than that. He completely owned Bonecrusher but got stomped by Megatron. It's not hard to imagine Megatron as a better fighter but that shows him way better...actually it shows Megatron to be highly aggressive. I think Prime puts some thought into his fighting moves whereas Megatron just dives right in.

My guess is Prime was holding back a lot cause they were in a city full of humans he didn't want to hurt. For Megatron that just makes it more fun.

Not to mention Megs will use a human to get to Prime any chance he gets.

i was about to say that! that annoyed me to no end. it would have been so badass if he said that while raising his fists like he did when he first entered the battle.

Keep in mind that by the end of their fight, neither of them can stand up. Megatron is only able to crawl along.
So even though we didn't see much of it, Prime gave him a beating.

yeah, and at the end when megatron is dead, prime says "you left me no choice, brother" i was kinda like wtf? you didnt even really do much, in fact you told sam to push the cube into YOUR chest! ya know? but still, kick ass movie!

Megatron's real bad ass. He's still alive after taking all those missiles from the Raptors. He was really tough, but I guess he wasn't Lord High Protector for nothing.

Well, in this movie, at least he was right in the end, he stood and megatron fell(was defeated).
Prime just didn't specify how! LOLLOLLOL

My theory on how Prime was so weak compared to Megatron is that he used all his energy driving around the country and then already having to fight Barricade and Bonecrusher

Prime didn't expend too much energy on Bonecrusher. The reason I loved the fight was how short and brutal and to the point it was, like many real streetfights I've seen or been in. I never expected after that great exchange to see him look absolutely useless next to Megatron.

I kind of felt that Prime was holding back to help protect the stupid people that are continuing to run around an into the direct line of the fight, as well as the idiots that were still driving their cars around. Megatron just didn't care who got in his way.
You can tell Prime knows his way around a fight and doesn't mess around when he fought Bonecrusher. As a matter of fact, he was down right brutal and showed no mercy. There was less of a chance of collateral damage when he fought Bonecrusher plus if he didn't stop him, he would have caused more human casulties.

I was a bit annoyed at the end where Prime totally gets his metallic butt handed to him, especially after his match with Bonecrusher was so quick and precise. On the other hand, he at least kept getting up after going head-to-head w/ Megatron so that should says something.
I'm just more annoyed that they used so many great/memorable Prime lines in the first movie. What is the big guy gonna say in the next one?

This line just needed to be repeated.

How about, "Junk! That's what you are, junk!"
Prime had famous lines in nearly episode in G1. Before crash landing on Earth and becoming a truck, his original Alt mode on Cybertron was walking quote machine.

But why oh WHY didn't Bay show Prime at least getting a few shots in on Megs? That STILL makes me crazy. He straight up owned Bonecrusher--sword to the face!--and then gets creamed by Megatron. Other than grabbing Megs by the wings and going through that building, did Optimus get any hits on Megatron in that fight? (And I'm not even sure that counts as an Optimus moment--Megs could've done that to shake him off rather than Optimus forcing Megs to ram the building.)
Surely Bay had to know that showing Optimus getting hard-core schooled like that would tick off the fans. All I can say is, I hope Optimus kicks some serious ass in the next movie to redeem himself.
And while I loved hearing Optimus say his famous line, I still have to give Megatron the #1 badass line of the movie:
Optimus--"It's you and me, Megatron."
Megs--"No, it's just me, Prime!"

I've got my favorite Optimus quote up in my header--"I've got the plan if you've got the cast-iron manifolds for it!" Didn't he also once tell Megatron to "Blow it out your muffler"?
And if Thundercracker gets into TF2, he needs to reuse this G1 line: "I'll make them regret undooming themselves!"

Megatron's line sounded more like an Agent Smith line, inspired by the Matrix.
I think Bay included the one sided fight between Prime and Megatron to piss us off and give us something to complain about.
Actually, I stand by my theory that Prime was more concerned about not hurting innocent humans. Had the fight occurred in the middle of nowhere if would have been a truly brutal brawl. That would have been a much more monumental and epic fight because Prime would have left nothing.

Optimus knew that Megatron was stronger than him...That's why he was saying that if he couldn't defeat Megatron, he would sacrifice himself.

One thing that kind of annoyed me in this movie is the fact that this Megatron in the movie seemed a little too strong.
Everytime I've seen Prime and Megs fight, it's been rather even.
And then what really bugged me was how suddenly he was dropped.
The Cube is pushed in, he gags, chokes, and coughs for like three seconds, a drops dead as a doornail.
It was a bit anticlimactic.

Well I guess that's what they say "the bigger and badder ther are, the harder they fall". I don't mind Megatron being stronger since he's the violent one...It all evens out cause Prime is smarter than him and we all know that in the war between decepticons and autobots, the difference is that the autobots are smarter and know how to fight together...The decepticons weakness is that even though they're stronger, they can't seem to fight well together and you can even see that in the movie.

I kind of looked at that as he received a massive overload/shock and his system just instantly starting shutting down......
...or maybe he's in a stasis lock till the next movie!

Just to let you know, that cast iron manifolds is a Prowl quote. Check Ultimate doom if you dont believe me. But that is a great Thundercracker line.
I don't have a problem with Megatron beating on Prime so heavilly. Yeah, it would have been nice if they were a little more even, but Prime did get some hits in. What about when he shot Megs, spinning him around and making him loose his Fusion Cannon? Ok, he spun around and fired it straight off the bat, but it was still a hit to Prime.
