It didn't take so long for him to kill bonecrusher or maybe he also killed barricade?

he wasn't that late, the others were jetting off while he's fighting bonecrusher, they get therre, blocks starscream, attacks brawl... prime shows up

He probably got lost. I can see where falling off a freeway overpass could screw up your sense of direction.

I mentioned this another post myself about Prime being late to the battle. My thinking he was battling Bonecrusher while the others kept driving into the city (just like bran10 said). I still think another possible scene that continues the road battle is between Prime and Barricade because Barricade disappears afterward.

It would have been neat to show him jumping back up onto the freeway and transforming into truck mode (we never see him actually transform into his alt mode..) and get movin'.

Kinda odd that out of all the autobots, prime is the only one we don't see transform back and fourth, actualy. Neither did brawl or bonecrusher. WEll, they didn't last long I guess.

Anyways, yes, he was late because of bonecrusher! haha. I agree!

I dont think we saw prime transform all that much because he had the most complex and expensive transformation model, so it would have cost a fortune to add more scenes of prime transforming back into alt mode.

Hopefully we will see him do this in tf2 though.

He prolly was late cause of Bonecrusher, but we don't know the amount of time it took the other autobots to get to mission city. It could have taken a while, thus it took prime a little longer too.

Funny, when my wife watched the movie with me, when Prime finally showed up in the city, she suddenly busted out,
"Where's he been all this time!! They needed him!!"

I agree, his battle with Bonecrusher slowed him down.
AND, it would be cool to think that right after that he owned Barricade too.
Although I'd like to see him in the next movie.

It should have taken them only fifteen minutes, since Mission City is supposedly a suburb of Las Vegas.

He was late cause he was fighting Bonecrusher..What??? You think that the others stopped to wait for Optimus??? Please!!!!

The novel based on the screenplay of this film explains why OP was late and explains the absence of Barricade:

When Bonecrusher and OP go over the bridges in a fight, Barricade joined in too. OP had to take on both of them, basically killed Bonecrusher as in the movie, and hurt Barricade badly...much like Bumblebee did in the first big fight (sort of) between him and Barricade.

Barricade's just too dagum cool to kill off. Seriously. He'll be back.
