Is it true that the Transformers Movie toy line has most defects and "too loose" limbs? And the Ben 10 show is infamous for copying parts from other popular kids' shows and stuffing it into this show, just to make kids like it; and now they say this: "The Omnitrix (the main charecter's device that allows hime to change into aliens) has more than meets the eye"... Now that's going too far. Now that Transformers movie has been a great sucess, do they have to copy them by saying "more than meets the eye"?. It's not that any kid would watch Ben 10 because of that ripped off line... and there's sure to be a transforming robot with a red, blue, and flaming paint job in it I bet. I mean, they have ripped off entire charecters from shows like Naruto, Batman, etc. Just wanted to say.

Better call the FBI on this one.
Actually there have been millions of transforming toy lines. There were even transforming Ninja Turtles a while ago. Shredder turned into one of those drill tanks that went up from the Technodrome.
And let's not forget the gobots.
Geez lighten up. It's not "going too far" to have the line "more than meets the eye" in something other than transformers. It's called a loving tribute. If it was "copying" something to just say the slogan, we wouldn't be allowed to even speak.

That's what I meant.... The concept of transforming toys is pretty common nowadays..

There was an episode of CSI where Warrick goes: There's more to this memory flash card than meets the eye.
To which Greg replies: You mean it's a Transformer?
A puzzled look from Warrick.
It's a fairly common line to have in something when there is more to it than on the surface.

I just want Ben 10 out of the picture, period.
I'm sick of such formulaic kiddie anime-wannabe stuff clogging up channels that was supposed to house animated entertainment.
(Like old Dexter's Laboratory and Foster's Home - not my favorite, though -, for instance.)

I concur. You should see the Cartoon Network we have here in New Zealand- Absolute CRAP. It's Basically the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Kids Next Door and Ben10 Network. I mean, here's how bad it is: The current premiere on Fridays: Billy and Mandy. Current theme on 120% cartoon Network? Bill and Mandy. The 12 hour marathons they had on Saturday and Sunday the other week? Billy and Mandy. And every single ads break, they advertise Billy and Mandy. Billy and Mandy is also on 3 times a day. Same with Ben 10: 3 tiems a day. On Weekdays, they have an hour and a half in a row of Kids Next door, as well as an extra episode later on at night. It's pathetic.

Yes, it's pretty much true about the 2007 movie toy line in my opinion. They are better to look at and keep in the packaging then to actually transform, I find them a little frustrating to transform at times.
"More than meets the eye" goes way back before the 2007 movie all the way to the 1984 G1 series of course and when it's used in other shows and a lot of them have used it and other characters, sound effects and other lines from transformers it's considered a pop culture reference to the viewing audience.
Family Guy is a good example of the huge amount of pop cultural references that they use in those infamous break away scenes to tell a joke and see how many people get it, most are so famous and common that everyone can get it so consider Ben 10's use of it sort of an honor to transformers to a certain extent.

Yo, until Ben starts pulling the Sexy Jutsu outta his arse, I'm seeing no ripping off of Naruto there.
