hi, my first topic. follywood was not mispelled. because all they put out is folly. so my question is who are they gonna kill? hollywood always knows so much more than fans of 20 years or more, even though they just heard of this for the first time last week when someone put a script in front of them, hence the new designs. okay, i console myself w/ derek yanigers' art from the marvel g2 comics, which i love, it's kinda along the same idea..very loosely. they have a bad habit of killing characters real dead, so i asked myself who is follywood gonna kill this time. you didn't think they'd kill jack nicholsons joker, did you? did you think they would kill willem dafoes' green goblin? how bout xavier, cyclops, and jean grey? so who are they going to murder? i'm guessing ratchet. maybe barricade , frenzy for sure is gonna get ripped to shreds. if that happens, minus one tape for soundwave in the first sequel. i definitely see blackout going down for the count. interested to know what you all think.

1 - The enter key is your friend. If you want people to discuss what you say then you know ... make it easy for them to read.

2 - Hollywood did not just hear of the TF franchise recently, considering there was a animated movie back in 1985 I think they've known about the franchise for a little longer.

3 - You're being sarcastic? Reaaaalllly? Would never have guessed. Oh and if you want a serious discussion you could probably drop the whole "anti-movie attitude". Do you want to make a statement or do you want a serious discussion? Because quite frankly, the anti-movie attitude is gonna piss a lot of people off 'cause we're all sick of hearing it.

4 - They'll kill Prime. 'cause they can, and it's good shock value, and dammit, they gotta do something to top Marvel knocking off Captain America and 24's Jack Bauer knocking off his friends and family each week!

correct, not many 20 year fans have film-making or script-writing degrees. shame most fans don't realise this and talk as if they know the slightest thing about how to make a good film! if they would jsut realise that they have no business arguing with seasoned well paid professional designers and writers then the world would be a happier place :) fans are only qualified to say wether or not they like the finished product, they have no comprehension of the production process.

put it this way. if characters aren't able to die, then why would you care if they are being shot at.

SPOILER WARNING

ok, this isn't what i think, it's what happens in the leaked script -

Autobots to die: jazz

Decepticons to die: every last one of them apart from starscream. bumblebee kills brawl, prime kills barricade, and all the rest, megatron included, are killed by humans.

Thanks.

After last time? I seriously doubt that OP will die this time, even though it's one of his key character traits. Shock value or no, I don't think that even Bay and pals would be stupid enough to shoot themselves in the foot, regarding possible sequels and they'll be wanting to keep OP for that. I'd say anyone else is fair game though.

It'd be too cliche to kill Prime.

And then die in 4 to be replaced by Rodimus.

Who then dies in 5 to be replaced by Fortress.

And then in 6 Optimus is reborn as Star Convoy.

After that, we'll just relaunch the movie franchise with new actors/robots.

"Transformers Begins"
coming summer 2015

to burn:
1. thank you kindly for the advice, i'll try to utilize it for the rest of my post.
2. i'm sorry, i didn't realise that sarcasm was inappropriate to transformers forums.
3. i am not anti-movie, on the contrary, i am completely embracing this as a sort of new g1. i love the movie designs so much i paid sixty-five dollars for a misb ratchet plus shipping because i couldn't wait six months and pay ten.

the point i was trying to make about hollywood is that they take very well established - uuumm..establishments and change fundamental elements to please a general public, but leave long time fans extremely disappointed.

my prime example of this would be hollywoods batman: year one as opposed to frank millers definitive work of art. i am able to enjoy the one, in and of itself, as art and entertainment, but also be less than thrilled when i see on my minds own movie screen what could have been.

4. i don't think they'll kill prime til the end of the first sequel.

to the other guy;
you don't think much of transformers fans do you? we,re so incapable of comprehending even the remotest machinations of filmmaking, we just sit in front of transformer images all day with our mouths hanging open to china.

incorrect. i think many fans have extensive knowledge of the film industry. i think alot of them have even made short films of their own. i would venture that many fans have taken film/and or writing classes at art schools all over the world. i'll bet alot of them even got A's in those classes.

i think it very small of you to imply that because we don't all have a degree that all we can do is nod for yes and shake our heads for no.

or maybe we're just transforming our toys. you know already that you shine over a confederacy of dunces. (that was a reference to a really good book) cuz some of us even know how to read!

alas, poor yerk, i'm glad i'll never know ye

oh, and thank you soooo much for ruining the movie for me, i had no idea there was a leaked script.

Uhm, was that supposed to be sarcasm again?

The spoiler was clearly marked by the time you wrote this, there was no reason you had to read it if you didn't want to.

For TF1 it was Jazz, Frenzy, Brawl, Bonecrusher & Blackout

Megs is back for TF2 which helps the movie in my opinion. Transformers should die, as long as they kill the right ones for this series...that is obviously going downhill. They don't need to kill Prime again that has already been done before and it worked out great. The negative reaction was a perfect memory for me in the Transformers franchise.
If they didn't bring in the new cutesy bots I would say kill Bumblebee everyone would remember it, because he was the star of TF1.
