UPDATE 12/22/07

Update is in red. Everything else is the same.

The object is to see if ours is better than the real one. I don't know if a full script is necesarry, but at least a pretty good outline of the plot. That's what I'm after anyway.

I took a lot of your ideas into account. I tried to use ideas from everyone's posts. But of course in the end it came down to my personal opinion and ideas.

Therefore, if you see anything you don't like, or if you had an idea that you really liked but don't see here, then please, by all means let me know and we'll work it in.

Ideas for 3 are updated in my post further down the page.

Also, another location to work on this project is:

The movie opens with a Late Nite talk show guest spot of Ironhide and Bumblebee accompanied by a military guard. The host explains how much risk they are taking by having them on, but hey it’s ratings right?

Then begins an opening narration by Optimus Prime, explaining that it's now two of Earth's years later since Megatron and the Decepticons were defeated. The humans are divided over whether or not to trust the TF's and there are protests for and against. The TF's have cult followings on earth. Many groups of people, religious and otherwise, revere them as signs or other objects of whorship. The US Military is on alert. They know the Autobots seem like friends, but they can't be too careful. Government buildings are under their protection round the clock and they even dispatch the USS Flagg to stand on full alert in case they try to approach the sunken NBE1 unit at Laurenith Abyss.

All through this are scenes of hippies protesting how the Autobots need to be respected, scenes of military guard everywhere the robots are, and scenes of Autobots trying to figure out the rules of the road and social norms, with comedic results.

Prime wraps up the narrative by saying there have been occasional skirmishes with remaining Decepticons, but thanks to the help of his new trailer with tracking communications technology, and it’s own satellite undetectable by human instruments, they have so far been able to keep the Decepticons from harming any humans. But the Decepticons are able to hide just as well as the Autobots, and who knows how long they can keep it up?

***************

The scene cuts to Area 51, where undercover vehicles suddenly come to life and attack the facility. They steal a fragment of something from the labs, and four of them are captured. One of them gets away, in the guise of a police car.

****************

Sean Berger is a general who is the foremost voice in the military that all TF's are a threat. In a secret meeting with the president, he makes his case with footage from the Area 51 attacks.

“One thing is clear,” he says: “some of the robots got away, and what they took is both frightening and baffling. The U.S. government, it turns out, has been holding out on the Autobots: years ago it was able to take a sample of the Allspark from the Hoover Dam. The fragment was relocated to Area 51 for further study. Last night, Area 51 was invaded by the robots. They stole it sir. We don’t know what they want with it, but we know what it’s capable of.”

The president now agrees. A secret order is sent out. Destroy all the robots.

*******************

Thus begins a series of scenes in which the human military, sometimes in broad daylight and in the middle of crowded streets, opens fire on the Autobots, and they only escape by assuming new alt modes.

One of these scenes shows Ratchet trying to repair Jazz, but at the last second, the military busts into the warehouse and he has to flee. Jazz's body is even more destroyed.

One of these scenes shows Sam and Mikaela in college, and there is a chase scene of military following Bumblebee through campus as he attempts to save his own life. Only Sam can save him from inside the car by telling him of an old tunnel beneath the football stadium that is no longer in use. He assumes a new alt mode as well and escapes.

The Autobots have to flee Los Angeles. Sam and Mikaela go with them, and Sam’s dad begs him not to go with “those robots,” but of course he does.

********************

Meanwhile, outside Las Vegas, Blackrock Industries has come up with Fusion power technology. The grand opening of the new plant is celebrated as a new age in energy and fuel production.

Outside Blackrock’s new Fusion plant, a military escort arrives. “This protection from the robot threat is necessary,” the commanding officer says.

Blackrock agrees, but doesn’t like it.

********************

That night, Blackrock is working late in the plant when he hears all this commotion outside, followed by screams. Then the alarms inside the plant start going off, and when he runs out to the balcony he faints at what he sees.

********************

A lone communications truck rolls toward Area 51. And sitting in the back are General Berger and the military’s top scientist, Josie Beller. The general questions her about the new technology she has come up with to test on the captured robots. She says it will be ready despite the break in and the loss of the Allspark shard.

Once inside the grounds, the delivery/communications truck pulls into a back entrance of the complex. The driver leans out the window and punches a code into a panel and the whole floor lowers, taking the truck down. Inside the huge chamber are four holding places on a huge wall. The truck drives off the platform and over to the wall, where Berger and Beller get out.

Lights come up and the four captured robots from Area 51 are imprisoned.

Machines activate and the robots’ screams echo through the chamber.
At last it stops and Beller announces to Berger, “We have done it. We have cracked the code of their language!”

They proceed to torture them and question them, and learn their names:
Scavenger, Long Haul, Onslaught, and Bludgeon. They learn the whole truth:

Soundwave has been on Earth all this time, in deep cover and monitoring human communications. And not only does he know where NBE-1 was laid to rest but that the robots have a chance to restore it, because military scientists have kept a functioning piece of the Allspark. And now they’ve stolen it.

“And what about the secret weapon,” Berger asks Beller. “The, you know, accident?”

“We can utilize it,” Beller says. “I already know how I can put it to good use.”

Then General Berger says he will return in a week. He gets in the back of the truck and it drives off. As it is pulling away from Area 51, the hologram of its driver flickers off.

*****************************

When the Autobots near the city, two mysterious sports cars start harrassing them. They are such crazy drivers they can easily take on the four Autobots. Then two more enter the scene, just as fast and crazy and start protecting them. They all transform and it's Sunstreaker and Sideswipe fighting off and subduing Wildrider and Dead End, who are placed into Prime’s trailer.

They go and meet Ultra Magnus, the new Autobots, and the Wreckers. Magnus has grudging respect for Prime, but they haven't spoken in millions of years. Arcee is the first "girl" TF when it decides the female persona is better suited to its programming. Grimlock and the Wreckers hate what they’ve seen so far of the humans. In their scanning of the world wide web, they have decided the extinct dinosaurs were the only things Earth ever had that came close to their respect.

Now they interrogate their captured Decepticons, and the Wreckers’ brutal reputation is well earned. They learn that when Starscream fled the Earth, he came in contact with Shockwave and Skyfire, two Decepticons who had always opposed Megatron’s rule. Upon hearing about his death, they have come to Earth with a powerful weapon to use if Megatron is brought back. It will utilize the energy released in a Fusion Power meltdown to function. Dead End and Wildrider are then killed by the Wreckers.

The Autobots leave at once for the Blackrock plant.

***********************

In the back of the communications truck, Berger realizes it’s been too long of a drive, and when he looks outside, realizes they are in the wrong place. He is taken to the ruins of an old airstrip in the desert and forced from the back of the truck by strange claws that come out of the consoles. Then he watches the truck transform before his eyes, and one of the robots now looms over him.

“You know too much,” it says down to him, in a monotone voice. “We need you alive for now, however.” Other robots come around the corner, and a police car rolls up and transforms, and in its hand is the artifact stolen from Area 51! The monotone robot, by far the largest, then grabs the police car bot’s head and smashes it to pieces. “You are of no more use to me, Barricade, now that Frenzy is dead.”

Then, before Berger’s very eyes, a hologram of himself forms around a basic robot frame. As it forms, he gradually loses all muscle control. Three of the robots turn into jets and the hologram climbs on board behind a hologram pilot. Berger is then forced into a secret compartment behind the cockpit. “As long as you live,” the monotone bot tells him, “this hologram will function. You need to be in close proximity to it for it to function.” He turns to the three jets. “Thundercracker, Ramjet, Dirge, you know where to go.” And without further ado, the three jets, one of which containing Berger and the allspark shard, take off.

********************

Mikaela and Arcee arrive on the hilltop above the Fusion Plant. Arcee gives Mikaela an earpiece she came up with as communications officer that will allow her to understand the Decepticon language.

They sneak in past the missle trucks outside. Strange, there are no people around anymore, just the trucks.

Inside, they discover the horrible truth:

The plant is under control of the Decepticons. All the military personnel have been rounded up and imprisoned inside the plant, and Blackrock and his workers are trapped as well.

Mikaela listens in on the conversation:

Starscream wants to use the new weapon to destroy the Autobots now, but Shockwave says "You are not being logical. That will bring unwanted human aggression, and when Megatron returns, we may not be able to use the weapon on him. We remain in hiding and wait."

Skyfire grows more and more unsure about the weapon's use. He wonders what the results of the weapon would be like for the humans, and his fascination of them as a scientist makes him worried. The very use of the weapon would cause a meltdown outside Las Vegas, and the blasts themselves would create atomic explosions. But he can't bring himself to let Megatron return.

********************

Berger is flown to the deck of the USS Flagg, where he must remain cramped and unable to move in the back of Thundercracker.

An officer is surprised to see him on board, and he says he is here on orders of the president himself to destroy any robot threat.

And inside the compartment, Berger hears everything his hologram says, sees through it’s eyes, and cannot make a move himself. The hologram goes down to the bowels of the ship and puts the Allspark shard into a small submersible and drops it into the ocean. No one is the wiser.

Then the hologram winks out, leaving only the robot frame. Inside Thundercracker, Berger can move again.

********************

At Area 51, Beller thinks something is strange about satellite imagery of the Fusion Plant. She reveals her secret: a new Allspark has been developed from the shard left behind.

She uses the secondary Allspark to hypnotize the Destructicons, and she sends them on their new, human controlled mission, to rescue her former employer Blackrock’s Fusion Plant.

********************

Mikaela and Arcee get back. “It’s all or nothing now,” Prime says. “We cannot let them use this weapon.” But Magnus and the Wreckers argue that it’s useless to stop them when they’ll use it to destroy Megatron. The human safety argument makes no sense to them.

“We’ll help stop it then,” Ironhide says. He, Arcee, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Ratchet, and Bumblebee agree.

But then they observe four vehicles moving in on the horizon. “It’s the Destructicons!” Magnus says. “We have to intervene after all,” Grimlock says and transforms.

The Destructicons arrive and crash into the compound, canons blazing. And the two missile trucks outside suddenly transform into Triggerhappy and Quake, and the battle is on.

But something is wrong: the Destructicons begin to lose control of themselves and start screaming in their high-pitched language. And then they do something that has never seen before among the Transformers. Something that would have been impossible were it not for the humans meddling in things that they did not understand...

The secondary Allspark has evoked a mutation. They are about to become an entirely new form of Cybertronian life: a gestalt of their individual bodies.

It doesn't have a name. It doesn't need a name. It's pure brutality and all Decepticon. And it proceeds to unleash holy havoc on Triggerhappy and Quake. "It causes so much destruction,” Prime says. “It's a devastator of lives. Of everything we hold dear.”

The Wreckers are off. The giant robot makes short work of Triggerhappy and Quake, but half the environment around the Fusion Plant is destroyed.

Now the Wreckers engage the monster with all their artillery.

“They don’t even give a ****!” Mikaela screams. “There are people in there!”

“We can get them out,” Bumblebee says. “But we need your help Prime. Your trailer.”

“We have no choice,” Prime says.

Ironhide and Prime, being the toughest vehicles, hurry through the desert terrain and smash around the back of the complex. Meanwhile, the whole front of the building is being shook as the Wreckers take on the giant monster.

Ironhide blasts open the wall of the complex, and Sideswipe and Sunstreaker race out of the trailer and down the halls, smashing through furniture as they drive.

They get to the holding area for everybody, but Starscream is there. Sam ducks out of Sideswipe and cries out to the humans as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker engage Starscream. Arcee breaks open the holding cell and they all follow Sam.

Starscream kills both Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, but almost everyone gets away.

Except Blackrock.

Shockwave grabs him and screams, “Hook up the weapon now! Power it up!” Skyfire stands by to receive the weapon.

“The radiation will kill us all!” Blackrock screams.

“Maybe you,” Shockwave says.

Outside, the Wreckers continue to fire upon the monster. Their shots seem to have no real effect.

Magnus rolls in and transforms and gets right behind and underneath the monster, and starts blasting it in the joints and beneath it's bits of vehicle chassis that are acting as shields. Some of them fall off.

But then the monster him, tears his arms off, and throws him aside. He is still alive, but barely, and strange sparks dance all around him.

But he has done his part, and the Wreckers make short work of the monster, and soon it is strewn upon the desert landscape, back into its original pieces.

Only Bludgeon stirs.

**************************

In Area 51, Josie Beller stares at the screen in shock.

**************************

Deep beneath the sea, the probe arrives at the ruined body of Megatron. It lets out the Allspark shard, and soon his eyes light up.

**************************

Inside the Fusion Plant, a shaking Blackrock finishes the connections to the Decepticon weapon. “God help me,” he says. He turns on the juice and the alarms blare. “MELTDOWN IMMENANT!”

And Skyfire blasts Shockwave in the back. “No,” he says. “This is not the way. Turn it off.” Blackrock turns it off, and Skyfire smashes the weapon. He grabs Blackrock and flies through the ceiling. Starscream comes into the room just in time to see it, and runs over to Shockwave. Shockwave is not badly damaged.

Skyfire drops Blackrock off in front of Prime and the Autobots. “We have no time to lose,” Prime says. “If Megatron is alive, I have to fight him again.”

“I will take you to him,” Skyfire says.

Skyfire transforms into a stealth bomber big enough for Prime to ride on top of. “The wind resistance will hinder us, but I’ll get us there.” They take off. Starscream flies after him.

And Shockwave breaks through the wall of the Fusion Plant. The wreckers began blasting him, and in his hurry to dodge their missles, he falls right onto the injured Magnus. Then he transforms into a blackbird and takes off.

***********************

Megatron shoots out of the ocean, his body fully regenerated. He lands on the deck of the USS Flagg and everyone goes crazy.

Berger makes it out of Thundercracker just in time for the three Seekers on the deck to transform and fight by Megatron’s side. The other aircraft carriers start scrambling their fighters.

Then Skyfire drops Prime onto the deck. “Megatron!” Prime calls, and Megatron laughs. “Where is your boy to stop me now?”

Shockwave catches up with Skyfire, and the arial dogfight is on. The seekers transform and fly up to help. The human fighters fly up to destroy them all.

Prime and Megatron began fighting again, jumping from ship to ship, rocking them and sending humans tumbling into the seas. They tread water in pure terror as all robot hell breaks loose above them.

Up in the air, Shockwave feels strange charges all around his body. “This is not logical,” he says, but continues to chase Skyfire.

The human migs engage the Seekers. They outnumber them, and in the end, all 3 seekers are shot down. Only a few humans are still airborne. “Now for the bombers! They’re also robots!” command screams into their headsets, and they fly off.

Shockwave and Skyfire exchange shots in a perfectly executed dogfight, but then the humans come in and launch their missles. Skyfire is shot down and Shockwave thanks them by blasting them.

Then he flies down to the battle between Prime and Megatron as they jump from ship to ship. “We have to defeat him together Prime,” Shockwave says. “He is unfit to lead.”

But when Shockwave attacks Megatron physically, the last thing Prime expects, happens.

They merge, and mutate into an even bigger robot, Gigatron. In one swoop, Gigatron grabs Prime and tears him in half. “You Autobots break so easily!” The remains of Prime are tossed into the ocean.

The humans cower in the corners of their ships. Berger faints, for the first time in his battle-hardened life.

Starscream arrives. “I will let you live for now, Starscream,” Gigatron says. “We have work to do.” He transforms into a blackbird and takes off.

************************

Josie Beller speeds towards the Fusion Plant and runs up to Blackrock, Sam, and the Autobots. “It’s all my fault,” she gasps. “The mutations, they’re all my fault, and I know how we can stop them.”

Just then, a Blackbird and a F22 Raptor fly overhead.

“Starscream and Shockwave!” Sam cries. “But Shockwave looks different.”

“Oh God, where’s Prime?” Mikaela cries.

“That’s what we’re going to find out,” Bumblebee says. “Get in.”

Sam, Mikaela, and Beller get into Bumblebee. The Autobots roll out, with the dinobots on the back of Magnus.

*********************

They arrive at the old airstrip and watch from the hillside as Gigatron, Starscream, and Soundwave talk.

“Now we can bring our original plan to fruition,” Gigatron says. “With the Allspark destroyed, there is only one other way to bring back Cybertron.”

He and Soundwave turn to the skies and beam up a message.

“What’s coming?” Sam asks. “Prime is missing and they’re summoning something here.”

“I know a way we can stop them,” Beller says.

*****************

And at the bottom of Laurenith Abyss, the two halves of Prime rest in the mud. They melt into millions of tiny nanobots, and reform.

His eyes light up. Red.

Why all the new alt modes? Redesigning the established characters would only run up the budget and result in fewer new robots.

TF 3 Ideas UPDATE 11/9/07

Obviously it's not fully figured out yet.

What are Gigatron and Soundwave calling? It doesn't necessarily have to be Unicron.

I personally would like it to be, since this is the movie, a special occasion, and it makes sense because he is not only part of the iconic mythos, but the recent trilogy will be remembered by younger fans and it makes sense to have him in it for them.

Not to mention, I love my idea for him. Instead of the obvious, "OMG!!!11 hes comin for erth!!!!111" how about this:

He wants the Earth for his new body. A climactic scene of the movie would be the final battle taking place on and earth that is shaking all around the globe, with volcanos and tsunamis and wild storms galore, as the very planet itself starts to transform! They have to stop the process before it gets any worse. Unicron is a mysterious force right? Maybe he can not only take the earth as a body, but actually turn it mechanical using the metals in the rocks and ore, and even the mantle and core itself.

Too much? I love it myself Interesting twist on an old theme, with the same result in the end, and it keeps the action from getting too sci-fi-ish, by still at least trying to maintain some attempt at so-called realism.

However, there are a lot of other options, and maybe they'll be better stories:

The Swarm
Jihaxus and his new breed of Decepticons
Galvatron as a separate character

Inferno

Superion
Hot Shot (or Hot Rod)
Cyclonus
G1 Scourge
RiD Scourge AKA Nemesis Prime
Menasor
Defensor
Punch/Counterpunch

G1 Devastator and Bruticus were kind of combined in 2. No need for Bruticus here.

Scene ideas:

Galvatron and Gigatron fight.

Gigatron kills Starscream.

Sean Berger gets stepped on.

The military is still a huge threat to all TF's, and governments of the world unite to stop them.

Stockade betrays the Autobots.

Or Punch/Counterpunch turns out to really be a Decepticon, and he has to choose sides in a climactic battle and finally shoots the Autobots.

That's it for me now.

Any ideas?

The plot looks extremly interesting, still I am not on with all the new alt modes. Plus if ever I wanted a Dcon triple changer it would be Blitzwing, Overall though yeah let us fans write the sequal script!

Interesting. Two people in a row are not fans of new alt modes. I thought people hated flame Prime and all that.

Oh well, it's not like they're necessary for the story or characters.

My guess is people have accepted the new Prime at this point and it would be really weird to have everything shift more towards the familiar old designs in the sequel. The movie franchise has established its own identity and style and should continue doing so, IMO.

Why would Prime need a trailer? He never used it in the cartoons and it just disappeared during his transformation.

Just some ideas of my own, borrowing from Allspark power toy line

New Autobots include Arcee, Landmine, and Stockade (who is secretly a decepticon!)

Opening: Hoover dam has been closed for "repairs." The president gose there to formally disband S7. As he arrives, one of his escort police cars attacks: Barricade lives again! As the battle is going on, several autobot pods (including those listed above) land and proceed to destroy Barricade. They will then scan altmodes: Landmine as S7 dunebuggy, Stocade as S7 van, and Arcee as abbandoned tourist motorcycle.
Just a way to start the movie with a bang, introduce new characters, and tie up plot lones from old one. THe plot then goes to Dark Zarak's outline. Hope you like! :D

Oh man, I so agree, but not in a bad way. I love that you can see the enthusiasm throughout this entire post as it's read from beginning to end. This project is going to be a hoot.

Sadly (or maybe fortunately) I am in school/scholar mode so the creative part of my brain (basically coming up with creative story lines and such) is running a bit on empty. Thankfully we seem to have a good start on a story and plot right here. Story/plot ideas/suggestions may come later as I think about this more, but for now I'm gonna play the part of the annoying person who nit-picks details or ideas that may need more consideration/development/concerns from anyone else, aka (YOU GUYS!!). I can't help it, I am tired of Bay's Plot Canyons.

On with the critiques!

SETTING - TIME
How much time will have passed between movies 1 and 2? Couple months? A year? I vote no more than a year, but I definitely think that a fair amount of time needs to pass for this particular storyline.

Personal Opinion: I'm not entirely convinced that the Transformers would be public knowledge at this point in time. (I'm basing this on the end credit scenes with the Witwicky interview and when Optimus talks about 'living amongst the humans in secret'.) It seems more like a movie 3 issue and that, right now, there would be conspiracy theories and government cover up. (I'm sure the autobots don't want to let humans know that they are on the planet as well.) If we throw this element in then we have to deal with factors such as how the major public deals with this, if the government tries to step in, will the autobots make attempts to talk to the governments, etc, etc. Since the current plot has this as a factor I'm gonna roll with it now, but people might want to consider this idea as the story progresses.

CHARACTERS - Autobots
Everybody loves new characters (old and new), but when we put any new characters in there they need to have a purpose, and I'm not talking as just cannon fodder. Man, we could create a whole thread by itself dedicated to characters if we wanted to. Anyways, here is some of my own little commentary of the mentioned characters so far:

1.) Ultra Magnus - I like what is going on in the story right now for Magnus: Prime and Magnus, two leaders on the same side but with different viewpoints who eventually come to an understanding and must team up to fight the Decepticons. It creates conflict, resolution, and insight into varying viewpoints from members of the same team. Awesome idea, Dark Zarack

2.) Arcee - I basically would like to see Arcee around to be a guardian/companion of Mikeala, like Bumblebee to Sam. (Maybe they get separated even? That way the story can be seen through the viewpoints of Sam and Mikeala and we can also cover different segments of the story.) I would also like to throw in something that Tazirai did in the female autobots forum. I will post that later.

3.) Grimlock - Oh Grimlock, how are you going to work? *ponders* I do enjoy the idea of Grimlock mowing down a group of humans to get at a Decepticon. That, to me, seems like a Grimlock trait. My question now is when did he get here? How will he be introduced?) I think he's doable, but just needs some work.

4.) No opinion/suggestions of other characters at this time. Didn't someone mention the idea of a traitor? That might be cool....

5.) Personal note: Decepticon character development. please?

CHARACTERS - HUMANS
How many of the human characters from the first movie will be in the sequel? With such a huge cast it seems silly that some of them will not return to at least make a cameo. I can see some of them popping up as supporters of the Autobots, or something to that effect. Maybe the Sec. Def. (Voigt) returns as a major political figure who favors the autobots? I'd also like to see Agent Simmons come back for some reason. These characters can be flushed out later, if at all.

Sam and Mikeala
What have these two been up to? How have their live been changed since meeting the Transformers? Would anyone around them know anything at all? What new conflicts have been introduced into their lives since meeting Prime and the rest? They need some sort of conflict/issue in this movie for the audience to care about them. Also, how will they help the Autobots fight the Decepticons in this movie?

CHARACTER REUNIONS
I just want to see a clever little tidbit introduced to tell the audience what everyone has been doing in between the two movies. Ideas to consider: What happened to Mikeala and Sam? How about the Autobots and adjusting to life on Earth? How has the war been back on their planet? Have more autobots arrived? What is the reception with the human race? Do they "know" or are there only "conspiracy theories"? What is going on with the Decepticons? Where are they all at?

I liked E.H.U.D.'s idea of starting the movie off with a bang. I'm a fan of having some sort of mini-intro before the main title pops up, like with Prime's voice over in the first movie.

Uhg, I have other ideas but I need to get to bed. Still, it might be best to consider major issues, like characters, one at a time, or something? I've never really done something like this before so I'm just making this up as I go. Looking forward to the future posts!

I like it. It's in like Flynn. At least, the scene, though I like the idea of Landmine. Who is Stockade? What version of TF's is he from?

darkqueen01 wrote:How much time will have passed between movies 1 and 2? Couple months? A year? I vote no more than a year, but I definitely think that a fair amount of time needs to pass for this particular storyline.

Sam was in 11th grade in 1. I say have him about to graduate high school in this, but then they have to skip town and he and Mikaela don't actually graduate.

I say they are public knowledge. Why? Because the events of the final battle aren't exactly easy to forget. Keep in mind, an event like that battle would be of 9-11 proportions in the real world. Think about the media of the United States, if not the world. It's too much of a stretch for them to be unknown after that, even for TF's.

3.) Grimlock - Oh Grimlock, how are you going to work? *ponders* I do enjoy the idea of Grimlock mowing down a group of humans to get at a Decepticon. That, to me, seems like a Grimlock trait. Where did he come from? Easy. He came with Ultra Magnus and the new arrivals. Why did have to come earlier? To scan a dinosaur millions of years ago? He doesn't even turn into one. :-P

I say with Grimlock it's the spirit of the character that matters. In other words, I vote for no stupidity. No broken English. But yes, delusions of grandeur for sure. Simon Furman's Grimlock all the way. The closest thing the Autobots have to a Decepticon.

I agree, but I must ask one caveat: Please no Maggie and Glenn. Please? Since the object of this experiment is to outdo the real TF2, at least in our minds, I say lose the MTV generation sitcom humor.

Sam and Mikeala

I honestly see Sam as comic relief. I say make him a smart mouth who has to prove himself. He falls in with the wrong crowd in the new city.

How about the Autobots and adjusting to life on Earth? How has the war been back on their planet?

I was under the impression Cybertron was destroyed. As for life on Earth, I see lots of humor involved in traffic, traffic in tunnels, and arbitrary rules of driving.

Have more autobots arrived? What is the reception with the human race?

I say no new Autobots until Magnus' crew. I just like the drama of the new arrivals, rather than pulling a G1 cartoon and just having new people standing around.

What is going on with the Decepticons? Where are they all at?

Dead for the most part. Except Screamer, and the ones that escaped Cybertron.

Stockade is the SUV. http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&a ... 00&start=0
According to Wikipedia, he's the SUV that goes KISS player's with his steering wheel, but the toy say's he's S7. In either case, he's a decepticon. However, I doubt the Autobots would let him land, thus the tritor idea. As for Grimlock, maybe lands in Universal Studios theme park and scans JP T-Rex Animatron? Also on the above link are new pictures of Optimus and what we could use as Ultra, along with other possible 'bots/'cons. Hasbro's done half the work for us!

Not bad :-?

But You should have more conflict between Megatron (or Galvatron) and Starscream. I'm pretty sure all the fans wanted to see that in the first movie.

Have them fighting out at sea, with the military trying to kill them in the process. They could jump from aircraft carrier to aircraft carrier while fighting, or use them like mini-islands to land on while they are fighting in the air, since they would be shifting between their robot and vehicle modes. This combined with all the human casualties and massive explosions would, in my opinion, kick serious azz...

plus you could bring in tidal wave as a surprise ally to megs/galv.

But HEY thatz just my idea

I think this is all pretty creative except the aircraft carrier transformer would have trouble turning into an aircraft carrier if there were a bunch of people on it.

Unless all the people were holograms or something. Wouldn't they die when he originally mapped himself to the aircraft carrier... destroyed it... and then turned into one??? That would make more scene to me. Maybe have all of them holograms instead of being on a battleship that they didn't realize was a Decepticon?

The major high point of the movie, is when a fully manned aircraft carrier, carrying troops ready to compromise an entire city if need be to destroy the "TF threat", suddenly starts transforming. Many hands are lost. Tidal Wave's robot mode has been equipped to dive underwater, and he carries with him Soundwave.

Plus Wreckage died in the prequel four part series. Got killed by the humans in the first encounter with all the deceptions when they first came to earth.

Well, the way I see it is like the construction vehicles transforming and killing their "drivers". Basically, yes, there are actual humans on board what they think is a real ship. I just love the idea of the kind of chaos that would ensue in that kind of transformation.

But I admit it needs work. Seems kind of silly to have an aircraft carrier transform like that just to dive down. Maybe he doesn't dive down at all. Maybe he just sends Soundwave down.

Anyone have any ideas to improve this, or replace?

And it's an awesome one, but I'd like to save it for 3. The gears are already turning on it, by the way. :-P

I don't know, an air craft carrier just sounds too big. It's one thing to suspend disbeleif for a bunch of cars and planes, but something that big would be hard. An alternate route could be a G.I. Joe reference: Someone could have a U.S.S. Flagg that turns into a Frenzy-type spy bot...

They probably will anyway, since the first movie was a big commercial, why pass up on oppurtunities to advertise new stuff?

And I figured it was more interesting.

Do we want him to be a dinosaur? I honestly don't think that's necessary, but that's how we should do it if he is, even though the movie is Paramount. :-P

I love the idea of bringin' in jihaxus.

itz been a while since i've seen him around.

You could also make the autobots and decepticons team up against him and his hoarde in a huge climactic battle.

I'm not quite sure about the swarm though.

They were great in the comics but I just don't know how you could really capture the audiences with a bunch of rust.

But thatz me :P

All interesting ideas.

I would just like to shamelessly plug my own movie-verse (link in my sig), written using the same characters, but in a new way. Feel free to read them and 'utilise' ideas from them if you want.

TF3 (currently in progress) has some ideas you have already mentioned, but there is one person who I am re-inventing for the movie line, and someone who I absolutly adore since I started getting the Marvel graphic novels a short while ago: Circuit Breaker. She needs to be in this trilogy somewhere. Although in my stories, tf's arent so easily killed by humans, so she is kinda needed.

As for Dark Zarak's idea for Unicron: Flippin' sweet    But for TF 3, right? We can't plug too many things into #2 (anybody seen Spider-Man 3?) Unicron for TF3 (but definetly being established as being the arch villian by the end of #2) would work SO well. Mayby show up as half destroyed/ deathstar 2 looking wreck and shooting "spark core" into the earth, to begin a beast machines-esque technoforming. that could also explain better Megatron's wanting to turn Earth's tech into little cons... One last idea for comic releif: the X-box has been captured and tamed, and lives along w/ Mojo as Sam's 'Pet' (and game system :P )...

*LMAO* I practically fell out of my chair reading this line. I just wanted to say that.

- I like the traitor idea floating around. That's my random comment. I have no clue as to how this could work yet. Didn't an autobot turn traitor in one series? The one with the minicons. (...... minicons... grrr....). Could we draw any ideas from that?

- Gonna have to check out insurgence's story. All ideas are welcomed.

- Unicron. *blows raspberries* Personally, not a fan, but he is a fairly important TF character, I will say that.... even if he did come from the horrible animated "movie". Hey, with the right script and story, anything can work.

*LOL@myself* So... I was really going to let this go, but something was bothering me. (I think it was the whole "media of the United States" thing. Believe me, the US news structure needs a LOT of fixing.) So in between h/w sessions I sat down and started scribbling down reasons for why the entire world would not necessarily know of the existence of the TF's and tried to come up with various explanations to further these concepts. As I did this I then started to come up with scenes that could be used to explain these reasons in the confines of a movie. I even managed to incorporate the ideas on this thread into the images floating around in my head.

In the end, I ended up with 2 notebook pages full of writing, and I didn't even get around to writing out the script portion yet. :?

Sadly, my procrastinating ways have caught up with me, so I have been MIA the last couple days because of it. (Kids, don't procrastinate in college.) Once I get it done, which shouldn't take to long, maybe a day, I shall post up this idea/script option (?). All I ask is that you read and consider the idea/possibilities that I post. If you don't like any of them or have a problem, it's cool. We either discuss further or just throw it out.

What if we combine elements:

Jihaxus brings with him the Unicron Matrix, a powersource that can turn the Earth into a new Cybertron.

We got the name drop without the same old concept, a variation on the classic result of said concept, and it fits together characterwise, and it's something relatively new.

As long as we're fantasizing a script, i've got just a bit of wierdness to interject. A little kid sees a robot mode Optimus and exclaims "Monkey!" Optimus responds "Truck, not Monkey." <a href="http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Trukk_not_munky"> source</a>
Again, just a bit of weirdness. along the line of TF1's "My Bad" except this will please the fans...
