Ok, i was asking myself about this
and i dont found any subject about this

Do i'm the only one who could love to see Galvatron in TF2?
(even if Megatron died is a movie they can do anything)
And by the way, introduce Hot Rod (then Rodimus Prime) too

Im a 1986 Transformers movie Fan
so it could be cool they do the way the old cartoon do it

I think the way Megatron died in the first film (allspark to the chest) is a perfect set-up for a ressurection as Galvatron. However, I'd rather avoid Galvatron and just stick with Megatron for this continuity. At least until the third film.

mmmmm no. Let's got with some new and original story line.

Let's not have Megatron become Galvatron.
Let's not have Hot Rod become Rodimus Prime and subsequently suck.

I'm not really a Rodimus fan but
It could be cool with Galvatron
it will be like a way to keep Megatron for fan

I like Rodimus Prime. :-(

I don't think introducing him in a new movie would work. I liked it in G1 because we had grown to know Optimus Prime. This isn't G1, though, and I don't think we have had enough Optimus Prime to warrant introducing his successor just yet.

Actually, this is a weak and thinly veiled argument designed to disguise my true feelings: I really like Cullen's voice and thought it sounded ripper in the theatre. I want him to stay.

If what i read is true,
They introduce HotRod.. and Also Unicron
So why not Galvatron?

HUM finally they introduce GALVATRON?

"Unicron turns the corpse of the deceased Megatron and recreates him as his herald, Galvatron"

wow

1. We don't know any of the plot lines for tf2

I've said this one on a few occasions.

2. Galvatron was megatron reformatted(this we all know). Unicron forcibly named him galvatron. If Megatron does return and is reformatted of his own will why the hell would he rename himself. He would still be Megatron.

I wouldn't mind if they brought back Megatron as Galvatron, since the Allspark to the chest is a perfect set-up for the power that Galvatron should have!

I wouldn't mind seeing Hot Rod either, either as a hot-shot leader of a team of Autobots coming to Earth after receiving Optimus' comunique at the end of the first film... I would NOT want to see him become Rodimus Prime though! If anything, I'd LOVE to see him in some sort of situation similar to the 'final battle' scene between Prime & Megatron, but instead of getting in the way (and causing Prime's death), I'd like to see him dive in and take the blaster (or cannon) shot meant for Prime... Sacrificing his life for that of Prime.

I've always felt that it was Hot Rod that caused Prime's death in the original movie, and would love to see him come out as the 'fallen hero' in the next movie, stepping in to save the life of the Autobot Commander.

Sorry about the run-on sentances, but I think it's clear enough to get my message across!

No to Rodimus Prime, No to Galvatron.

I really hope the screenwriters have more respect for the TF fan then to come up with some lame storyline like Galvatron becoming who he is from the friggin allspark.

Im I the only one who watch the move and saw the friggin allspark MELT Megatrons chest, destroying his spark? Was he not missing a leg?

No stupid resurrections, introduce new characters.

Everyone says this. It isn't gonna fly in the new movies. Maybe galvatron, but not some purple fiend. And please, no hot rod. Because he'd probably be the new Jazz.

No Hot Rod,He ruined forever G1 lets not see the movies get it too.Its Like "Uh here I come from nowhere now I'm the leader"
Everyone likes Blackout and Barricade,Lets see some new transformers in the movie like those guys.It would be interesting if Galvatron AND Megatron co-exist in the new movie
in the 'con ranks.Or maybe Starscream leading the decepticons in the movie and Meg/Galvatron showing up in the end.

I'm completely in favor of Megatron coming back, mostly so he and Starscream can have the wonderful interplay that was so absent in the first movie. (Okay, one line--"You fail me yet again, Starscream"--was not enough!) Whether he comes back as Megatron or Galvatron... well, I'd prefer to see him as Megatron.

Hot Rod, though? BLEURGH. If I never see him again in any way, shape, form, or fashion, it will be too soon. And don't even get me started on the idiotic Rodimus Whine. Just my opinion, of course, flame me if you will, but G1 went to the dogs after Rodimus took over.

Yeah Rodimus Prime will maybe dont exist cause this will need Optimus Prime death..
But lot of chance that Galvatron exist

Cause, like this, Megatron cant do anything
Without 1 legs and allspark in his spark
the only way he can come back is in galvatron

and Meg/Galvatron showing up in the end.

I dont think so.. cause even with different body,
they are the same person and they get the same spark!

Question: Do it will be a Trilogy?

the comics say otherwise.Galvatron kind of retrofits his host like a parasite.
And its a new series anyway so why not Gal/Meg in 2009?Its not like Bay can't do that

Says who?and don't say"because thats how it happened in G1"

Yep i think Bay can do anything
But the fan of Galvatron in me will be Happy..
But the fan of TF in me will not

And the people who dont know Old transformers..
They will think they are 2 different person

and that's so Anoying when people only know thing about a movie
Without knowing the series history before =\

I have mixed feelings about the whole "all spark gives Megatron super-powers". The All-Spark killed him. Now, I'd love to see Starscream return to Cybertron, claiming to be the de facto leader of the 'cons.

Knowing 'Screamer is a scheming b@stard, Soundwave and Shockwave go to earth with some more troops in tow (Thundercracker and Skywarp, Rumble, and maybe a couple of new characters).

Soundwave and Shocky are driven by different motivations. Soundwave is loyal to Megs and wants to "save" him. Shockwave thinks he should be the leader (like in the comics) and hopes to usurp Starscream and keep Megs dead.

This gives the writers a lot of good, classic 'Con dynamics to play with.

On the Autobot side, I fully expect Ultra Magnus to show up with a few of our favorite 'Bots (Prowl, Bluestreak, Cliffjumper - each has a distinct personality, all different from the TF1 'Bots). Whether or not Prime and Magnus are brothers or have a rivalry for the leadership of the Autobots on Earth remains to be seen.

These are just my thoughts as I type...I just don't want a rehash of G1. Give me characters that act similarly to their G1 counterparts, but redoing the animated movie as a live action film is a short-cut to thinking. Therefore, no Galvy, no Unicron, no Rodimus Prime, and for the love of all things Holy, no Wheelie!

Haha yeah the way you tell could be cool,
I dont think they will introduce Wheelie anyway (i hope)
I want to see Grimlock!,
But the Dinobots dont match the new TF way

Grimlock no bozo, Grimlock King!

Galvatron would be cool, but I worry that it is getting overused. then again, that might just be because it works.

As for Rodimus Prime- NO! He sucks, and deserves to burn in the Pit for all eternity.

The best answer to Wheelie and Rodimus Whine ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq1_6D9QS9Y

(Full disclosure--Prime drops the F-bomb in this parody. Repeatedly. You will laugh, unless that sort of thing offends you.)

Everytime I hear someone talk about Rodimus Prime it makes me think of that Dr. Smoov video, specifically the lines (paraphrased of course), "Give me back that Matrix immediately. You've run this orginization right into the ground, Hot Rod. If you had let Ultra Magnus have the Matrix like I had intended we wouldn't be in this mess right now, would we? The best you could do was bring me back to life to fix your problems. Probably the best move as leader you've ever made."

Truly, only Hot Rod could some how become an even more lame character after becoming leader of the Autobots. Even his name got worse. Rodimus Prime, kind of rolls off the tounge like gelatinous vomit.

I think the best way to handle Galvatron is not make him a resurrected Megatron but rather a seperate character, maybe even a like minded rival. I could also invision him as the one that took charge of the Decepticons in Megatron's absense, of course I imagine that any number of Decepticons could have filled that void quite nicely. Anyone from Shockwave to Soundwave to Starscream could have been the interim Deception leader in Megatron's absense.

It could work. Rodimus could come from a pre-existing Transformer. Galvatron could come from a side effect of killing him with the allspark.
