The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the results of a recent market survey that states that the vehicles used to bring to life the Autobots in the live action <a href="http://webmaster.transformersmovie.com/click.html?c=FLINCG" target="_blank">Transformers Movie</a> were far more popular than their human costars, with 94% of those surveyed finding Bumblebee their favorite character.

This is a surprise? Naturally the fans liked the transformers better than the regular cast.

yeah ill like to give a big "no duh" to whoever didn't know this already. in fact one of the things people disliked the most about the first movie was TOO MANY HUMANS and how there were HUMAN stories that didn't add anything to the movie. plus the lack of giant robots fighting. but seriously if you thought that there wasn't enough humans in the story, you have a job in hollywood because they're just as dumb as you. or at least a job writing articles that you already know the answer to about something everyone already knows.

90% of ducks go quack. where is my Pulitzer?

The writers of the article - and those who were interviewed for it - have horribly misconstrued the data in the study.

As taken from the article, Dino Bernacchi (associate director of marketing alliances and branded entertainment at GM) stated that 94% of people who were polled had an "Excellent or Good" reaction to the Bumblebee character, though Optimus was at a very respectable 91%, and both Sam & Mikaela were in the 80s (The other Autobots hovered around the high 60s).

The fact that so many people were so favorable to the Autobot cast *is* a good sign, and hopefully will direct the second film to have a less human angle to it - especially because Bee and Prime out-ranked the human cast in popularity. And considering his favorable rating, it's very likely that the Bee had the highest percentage of "favorite character" votes. But for Mr. Bernacchi to say that 94% of people chose Bumblebee as their FAVORITE character is, simply, erroneous.

I got tired of the human crap maybe 15 minutes into the movie. Too much crying and not enough giant fricking robots! I knew one guy who was so gung ho about this movie, greatest ever, until he saw it. And I quote " Where were the robots?!"

And of course everyone liked BB. He was just about the only one in it!

Am I the only one who got tired of the giant transforming robots? I mean sheesh, he I am I paid good money to see
this movie. I'm sitting there trying to follow mom and pop's
gardening tips and learning a little about ebay
and these robot mayhem machines just kept ruining the plot.
I was a little disappointed Sam didn't have like a little
sister to tag along with him. What were they thinking.
I should write the script for TF2, then we could get all that
'robot' nonsense outta there.

There shouldn't have been meatbags in the movie in the first place. The movie was called "Transformers" not GIJOE, not idiot kid and his car. Did they really think that the humans were going to be the "stars" of the movie?

WoW! Maybe the fans kind of knew what they were talking about. You don't NEED 100 extraneous human characters in the movie. The robots are what we want to see.

Once again movie executives wrong. Surprise!

lol. Another "duh" from me.

The movie is about TRANSFORMERS, not HUMANS. And everyone else before already said the meat of my opinion. ; )

Roots and the cars they turn into were more popular than the humans in a movie about robots that turn into cars?

What kind of mad mirror universe have I found myself in?

That is funny because I feel just the opposite. I think the humans should be replaced in the next movie. Barricade is cool. Fox is a poor actress.

She acts?

And I thought she was only there for the T&A.

That's shocking, shocking that someone in hollywood figured out what fans have been saying since the film came out. Hopefully, Bay and Spielberg take the hint...

can i change my answer? i want more humans and more side story lines that added nothing to the movie. i only watch the movie for the humans trying to break code and stop hackers over the fact this was a movie based on a tv show/comic based on a toy. too much giant robots if you as me. no, everytime i see a black gm truck i don't think of iron hide - i think of john turturro.

fuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I certainly didn't think that Megan Fox was Bad, by ANY stretch of the imagination. I thought she was great for the role she was cast. Maybe some more evidence of her mechanical genius would have been great. Maybe making her Blonde and naming her Carly would have helped. But I think he did what was asked of her just fine. Shia was AMAZING in his role. I'm beginning to REALLY like his acting, nuff said.

What everyone seems to forget is that this movie is called TRANSFORMERS, and it's supposed to be about ALIEN ROBOTS. I understand everything about digital effects being Time Consuming and costly and whatnot, but world doesn't know transformers because of the human characters. The Franchise at large doesn't continually re-invent Spike and Sparkplug. They focus on the Cultural Icons Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, Megatron, Soundwave, and the like. There was plenty of robot action, I guess, but the interaction and character development of the robots was SEVERELY lacking. All in all, Bay did a GREAT job with this movie, but I don't think he has enough respect for the truly Epic scale of the Transformers Lore. I want to see ARMIES of Cybertronians fighting an ages-long war on a death-strewn mechanical landscape. The Plot devices of the Glasses and even the Allspark were rendered completely Sterile in the end, because the Decepticons got to the Allspark first, and then Sam DESTROYED it! How are the Cybertronians going to get Energy? Why did Optimus get thoroughly BEATEN half to death by a newly thawed Megatron? Where was his Badass Gun? He's supposed to be a master marksman! No talk of the Matrix. Too much emphasis on Humor and the Human Element. Unceremoniously Killed Jazz. But the movie has done Phenomenally well in a big way. The Numbers show that they can really throw some serious money at this movie series. Bay wants to get bigger and badder. He's got a couple more movies left to really do the Transformers some big time justice on the Movie screen.

I have faith.
