There is ALWAYS a need for them. Sunstreaker easily coulda' replaced Bumblebee, and Sideswipe Jazz, as long as they changed him dying.

Or they could chuck in every single G1 core characters (All the minibots, Wheeljack, Mirage, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker) and blow up the production costs due to the increased CGI.

maybe, but i don't think so, bumblebee was the spy, thats why he was sent to earth before the autobots to find sam... i think,and to add to that, you can't go through a war with out one member of your team dying, thats what jazz was there for

Sideswipe was in the cartoon but I can't honestly remember a single thing he did other than give Optimus his jetpack in the third part of "More Than Meets The Eye".

No.What did they do?Give a rocket pack.They had no character development and were just background guys with expensive cars as alt modes.They might as well be called "yellow car,red car."I'll never get why there so popular.I'd rather see the rainmakers in the live action movie than
red car and yellow car.

I agree sunstreaker and sideswipe would have ben the same as extras. the only character detph we got from them was sideswipe calling sunstreaker brother.

Out of all the Autobots we ever see in the G1 toon only about 10 of them ever really get any character development what so ever.The twins got about the same attention as Hound or Windcharger.And the Twins got far more screen time then many others.

i don't understand questions like this. it's like "why was barricade in it instead of shockwave??" besides, hardly any of the characters were EXACTLY the same as their G1 (or later) counterparts, except for their their name.

Hound had lines,and did stuff in the cartoons. Way more stuff than yellow and red.wait...*gets idea* HOUND FOR TF2! he could be the guardian of the Army guy.Thanks sto_vo_kor_2000

I disagree,Hound as a character was more vital to the show and did more important things.red and yellow may have had more time on the show but it was as background filler.Its not like red and yellow guys did anything that moved the story forward.What did they do?Did they ever stop the decepticons or try.If they want a sportscar they should bring in Tracks.Now thats a character that had some lines,his own episode,and even was in a PSA against carjacking!No red and yellow for TF2. thats a waste.If they brought them in they would be identical to each other.

I never said that they did had more importent lines then Hound.....as a matter of fact if you read my post again I did say that Hounds lines were more central to the episodes he was in.Most of the time the twins were ether complaining or bragging.

But on plenty of episodes the twins tryed to stop the Decepticon....they failed but they tryed.

And by the way....Tracks PSA was on stealing cars not car jacking.Car jacking is when you high jack a car from a driver not while its parked

I can't really remember anything Sideswipe said or did, although I have vague memories of Sunstreaker appearing a few times. Did they get an episode where they were the focus? Most of the characters did, didn't they?

No...there were a few scenes in different episodes where ether 1 or both of them were the focal point but never a full episode.
