Manners ...

If you're talking a live action tv series, I doubt they could pull a budget together for that sort of thing.

Though they're apparently going to use the technology developed for Transformers and re-launch Knight Rider.

I wonder what that'll be like. Is it just the effects technology they're using for the new Knight Rider show or are they having a transforming car?

Anyway, it's highly doubtful we'll ever see a live-action Transformers movie. It would require a budget so big that'd have to be a prime time series and, as successful as the movie was, I don't think the franchise can garner that kind of following.

Everything that's been said about it seems to hint that the car might transform.

Personally I hope that's not the case. K.I.T.T. was always a talking car, not a transforming one.

Leo had a typo, whoo hoo.

There already was a live action movie. :P

They're using the technology on the Hoff. His alt mode will be sober.

I didn't know there was a live-action movie.

This is not the first time I've made a grievous error, either. :-(

errr dude ... the 2007 movie is regarded as "live action" because it has real humans.

Basically any movie with real live humans on screen is considered live action.

I am on a self-destructive path, it seems. I'll try to fix with a brief recap of all my posts to date:

"What the deuce? Blast. I concur. I like the IDWverse. I don't like the G1 cartoon. Curses. First pirate says, "That be a fetching hook and pegleg and hook ye have thar!" Second pirate says, "Yar. Cost me an' arm an' a leg!" I didn't like the movie apart from the parts that I did like. Ooh, Mephala. Ghostbusters. Confounded. :-( "

Did that work?

A transforming K.I.T.T. is an interesting idea but I'm not sure how it would work. I can only imagine he'll change into other cars but who knows?

Kitt did kind of transform when he wen t into super pursuit mode. Perhaps they plan on elabotating on that.

If there is mecha Hoff though it better wear a giant leather jacket.

MechaHoff should have tight jeans and an unbuttoned shirt, too.

I'd forgotten about Super-Pursuit Mode. How daft!

Don't taunt the new guy, and I thought about this myself. But as a comedy cartoon called "School for Transformers"

Go, go, gadget car!

Actually, I did look into the transforming bit and one of the sites that went into it a little bit more can be found here.

I don't care what they do as long as they keep it cheesey and they ditch the idea of a new Michael or a new voice for KITT. Keep both the Hoff and "Mr. Feeney" in their respective roles. Also I think it should be mandatory that this phrase heard in the original series is used in every episode: "KITT, I need you."

P.S. Does anyone remember an episode where the Hoff was trying to impress some chick (I know, that really doesn't narrow it down) and he let the top down on the car (not t-tops, the whole top), despite the car not being a convertible? I can honestly say that car was hideously ugly as a convertible

It was a convertible in season four. They upgraded it when they added in the Super Pursuit Mode. You're right, though, it did look hideous.
