Transformers movie technology to be used in new Knight Rider

While I'm sure many people have heard a little about this topic before or may find it old news, I found it interesting.
Apparently they will be using similar CGI effects to morph KITT into different things. Based on what I've read, KITT's stealth technology allows him to morph into different inanimate objects to blend into his enviornment. It works sort of like camoflauge. He is also supposed to be able to morph into other cars.
I discovered on jalopnik.com that KITT is rumored to no longer be a GM vehicle. He's now supposed to be a Shelby GT500KR. The pictures they posted do have a disclaimer that the red light was photoshopped only because the effects team did not have a working light installed yet but that is where the trademark light bar, now light bars, will be placed. True or not, I find it interesting that we are starting to see the Transformers movie now influencing other series, even if it is a Hoff-less Knight Rider.
