Yes now us Brits can finally join the rest of the fandom and get our hands on the Transformers DVD!

I'll be picking mine up very soon, which version will you get? I hope to pick up the transforming DVD case version from HMV.

I posted this since i doubt it would make news since unless something happens in America it doesnt seem to matter on this site. :P

Anyway, have fun with your new DVD's!

I have the two disc transforming case too, the guy at the store said I was the first one to buy it when it came out in mid October here in the states too so I was kind of surprised but there's a lot of cool extras and some hidden easter eggs.

Here are the instructions on how to access the easter eggs assuming you guys get the same ones but I can't imagine why they'd be different and if you've not already heard about them...

Enjoy!

It will take till the 12th of Dec. till they make it over here.
If I can't find the transforming one over here, I'll snag on in MK, I have to go there anyway to get the next Thundercats.

I bought it this morning, but I have to say I'm really disappointed in the lack of special offers/editions.

Stateside, it seemed like every shop that carried it had some sort of exclusive.

Robot Heroes, Animated Prequel DVD's etc. But I checked every website and shop I could think of beforehand and all we got was the (in my opinion) naff looking 'transforming' case from HMV...

Not even a shiny tin box, I would've loved a tin case.

But this isn't anything new is it?

(If I'm wrong please let me know. There is still time to get a refund!)

Sounds like you got the same deal as we got then in the states so count your blessings as the saying goes, would you rather prefer just a plain box then ? they have those!
:P

I think Play.com had an exclusive tin case...

I like the novelty value of the transforming dvd case, hes bloody tall too. Bigger than MP prime!

There were actually plenty of exclusive deals you just need to know where to look:

Play.com - Steelbook packaging with Target comic
HMV - Transformable packaging
Asda - The beginnings animated prequel (Wal-Mart)
1 Disc edition
2 disc edition
HD DVD version.

I knew about the 1 Disc, 2 Disc and HD-DVD versions. Likewise the Transforming case.

I never saw and can't see now a listing for the Play.com tin case...do they just have the picture of the regular one? (I did check regularly beforehand.)

I don't have an ASDA close enough for me to check and the website doesn't mention the animated prequel.

Disappointation!

I got the tin-can edition, and i was pretty pleased over over the bonus CD. It had all the easter eggs, plus the documentaries showed alot of scenes that weren't in the movie. But they did look finished. ^^

i'm rooting for a Director's cut edition now. It would be fun to see Michael Bay being thrown away by Megatron >=D
and the X-Box robot of course.

Sadly those were the only deleted scenes in there.
