Decepticons with less stopping powder than a 15th century musket....

Watching the film again and one thing struck me (apart from the poor editing)...

...Brawl's cannon fires shells that barely cause a puff of smoke on impact

...Blackout's energy cannon just about bends cars at point blank range

...Starscream's missles barely tear thge armour on a black hawk

...Skorponok's missles are required by the bucket full to rattle old buildings

Not sure if the budget let them down or Michael Bay was trying to make some clever point - but Decepticons fared much better when they went hand to hand...

...poor Brawl couldnt injure soldiers hiding behind a shop window

The Decepticons should hire Wheelie and his slingshot.

Are you insane?

Blackouts attacks made tanks, yes TANKS, fly through the air like toy cars, not to mention practically de-atomized huge military aircraft. Incase you didnt notice when he shot those cars in the city they blew to pieces and flew away.

Starscream OWNED the black hawk as it crashed and nearly chopped sam into pieces and land on prime incase you forgot.

Oh and Scorponok was like...tiny, so of course his attacks arent going to be as powerful, but he still managed to cause a shedload of damage. If the squad of soldiers wasnt able to call in the air strike he would have killed them too.

Though I would say Brawl seemed to be shooting blanks compared to what I've seen an Abrams do. But, one inconsistency isn't all bad.

I would say that if you're calling Starscream weak, you've lost your marbles for sure.

He launched a single-handed attack on the Hoover Dam, dropping it's power grid in like 3 seconds.
He attacked the fleeing humans in his Raptor mode, tearing up the street, knocking everyone down, including Ironhide, and disabling Bumblebee.
He dropped down and took out both Ironhide and Ratchet in about 5 seconds flat, then fled.
He took down 4 or 5 F-22s like they were nothing.
AND he may have helped shoot down Megatron.

Blackout wiped an entire US military base from the map

Scorponok held off 3 planes and a platoon of soldiers

Megatron literally tore an Autobot in half

I just thought that the Cons in general got a raw deal, the only one we saw alot of was Frenzy.

It was like

Blackout opened it, then Baricade real quick, then it's almost over "OK bring them out now", then Megatron ended it.

I hope there are more robot scenes in TF2, don't get me wrong, the actors where good, but the stage is set, now lets see the real show

Bonecrusher

only con i would aggree with is bonecrusher, sure he went through a bus, but any 30ft tall robot could do that. He didn't even stand a chance against prime. He got like three shots in before prime took his head off :-x

in the city his energy attack seemed more like a nuisance than a credible threat. If a rocket was fired in a street it would blow out every window in sight - Blackout doesnt even singe the pavement

Starscream OWNED the black hawk as it crashed and nearly chopped sam into pieces and land on prime incase you forgot.

watch footage of a real F-22 or any jet firing on a target, the thing is blown to pieces,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OI5p7mh0 ... re=related

observe!

Jet's dont fire flares as ammo!

Oh and Scorponok was like...tiny, so of course his attacks arent going to be as powerful

because it takes a big bomb to do a lot of damage!?! Ever seen what a few kilos of c4 can do???

Watch the footage of Brawl firing at Lennox - a shell explodes next to a car, which happily keeps driving along!!! Those puffs of smoke werent even convincing as fireworks....

The Decepticons werent even as powerful as regular jets and tanks - werent they supposed to be millenia ahead in weapons tech?

Key problem, and at the same time the biggest answer to all of these questions:

IT IS JUST A MOVIE!

I think the Decepticon artillery causes less collateral damage BECAUSE it's more advanced. After all, isn't collateral damage a waste if it's not damage to the target? Their weaponry is probably more focused, in that the damage occurs in a smaller radius around the impact site, thereby maximizing the force used on the target itself.

Take Blackout's initial assault, for example. I'm willing to bet that the blue fire we saw was applying largely concussive force.

Its funny you should say that, as i was thinking the exact same thing the other day.
