Hi all, just a quick question, what part of the car is supposted to be hanging off his arms? They look real funkey and on the toy he has the roof section instead.

I just did a replay of the scene in the movie just after bumblebee defeated barricade for the first time and introduced himself to sam and mikaela, believe it or not it looks like his arms fold underneath to form part of the underside of the car and who knows what part of the interior but it looks like possibly the dash board area as well and the whole console area that stretches over to the passenger side.

Probably the undercarriage and brake system/calipers, as we can see what appears to be the rings on his forearm platings.

Wasn't he still in his '76 mode at that point?
I mean, do his robot modes look any different between the '76 and '09 Camaro alts? The toys have quite different plating and robot details.

well most of the alt parts go in the same spots as before so the only main diff is the parts look different They prolly are just undercarraige parts anyway

Yes, but isn't it a 77 year model ?
I don't believe either version was specified in the original question though and the only open bumblebee I have is the ultimate version and I've not even transformed him to car mode yet.

The old Camaro in the movie was represented by 3 1976 model years.

It's only a Chevy, no need to get technical. :P

Cheating ? Conspiracy theories or not who is to say they could not transform him that way ?
As long as they keep them consistent with what we saw and unless there are changes to the characters vehicle/design then it's ok.

Even a lot of the toys are based on transformations where the arms become part of the undercarriage, Alternators line and the G1 line to name a couple.

They are funky looking forearms. I'll buy this idea ... totally.

The reason being, when ironhide transforms in the city ... (his best transformation.) It looks like a piece of him swoops down, takes his wheel off ... and puts it somewhere else.

Also, Prime. When he transforms ... all of the blue stuff that comes to surround his head.

That's just proof, that there just aren't simple moving parts involved. The transformations are very "alive." Very organic looking for metal beings.
