Transformers 2 On Schedule

Nelson, the site admin for Michael Bay's site, responded to Roberto Orci comments about Transformers 2 and the strike, "BTW, Bay just indicated to me that Transformers is still on schedule. The movie is still in heavy prep and 'will be released JUNE 24th 2009.'"

That is true, the strike is entering its 6th week and still plenty of time left. However, if the strike goes on to long and the actors and directors strike in June, all that changes. So hope things get sorted out before that happens.

I'd like to beleive it, but after Bay's little "lie to us" deal, I don't trust anything from him or his people.

That had only to do with details of the script, treatments etc and not it's readiness or release date.
:P

True, but I'm not sure.
But hey, I should take what I get.

Also, let's just hope it does not last too long but let's try and look at it this way and if they are that far along then even if the strike lasts longer then expected they should have even more time to tweak and perfect it and it should be released by the same time in 2010, I know,I know, another year which sucks but the delays can bring about positive changes in the end.
As the saying goes "all good things come to those who wait" :P
and "Patience young grasshopper" :-P

Heres hoping this is true. That strike is retarded and i, and many others, will be super pissed off if it delays the release date of our movie!!!

I'll take this as good news and be happy about it. June 24, 2009, huh?

As long as the strike does not last too much longer, most people have predicted that if it's over by June 2008 then they should be on schedule to release the movie on the June 2009 date

Agreed. "We're going to lie to you about some things, but we're going to tell the truth about other things! Honest!"

Kinda tricky. Hard to trust anything, really.

Actually this sort of thing was answered BEFORE Bay's declaration of deception.

See, at this stage, the movie can progress without a script. They can scout locations, etc etc. It's all about pre-planning.

Only when a script is called for will the movie be delayed, and that won't really be necessary for a few more months.
