Poor Jazz

So anyway from day one when GM unveiled the concept for the brand new "pontiac Solstice" I said "hey that thing looks kind of like a porsche"

I immidiatly wanted one being a fan of the Trans Am and pontiac in general (my last car was a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT before my Current 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier LS sport Coupe) And honestly Jazz really lived up to the original. I really thought that Solstice Jazz lived up to Porsche Jazz in every way and i Have no complaints about the character other than the died to quickly.

so anyway I just paused the movie on the part when Megs ripped him in two. It really is BS if you ask me. I'd really like to see Jazz in TF2 but nope... why did they kill him.... and further more , why does everyone hate this Jazz so much? Watch the animated TF series, you'll see, this Jazz is no differenet than the one we all grew up on and loved...

I guess more of the question is why does everyone hate Jazz? He pretty much comanded Ironhide and Ratchet to fallback and he went up against a Robot 5 times bigger than himself and got killed in the process. Thats what I'm saying. He was a good 1rst in command after Prime. so why does everyoen hate him?

First of all, I do not hate him. Also, we do not know if he is 2nd-in-command. We do know that he is First Lieutenant. In a typical army, there are several ranks higher than this such Captain and Major.

well considering one man in a five man army is "optimus prime" comander in cheif, and the other guy amongst 5 is "first officer Jazz" and Jazz comands 2 robots taller and larger than him to "fallback its Megatron" I think its safe to say Jazz is second in command.

Regardless I thought the modern day translation of Jazz was good and i NEVER understood why everone hates him. HE really is the Jazz of the 80's in every way.

I did not hate this version of jazz at all let alone any of the characters, I liked some more than others yes but not hated.

Jazz died because he went up against Megatron the most ruthless and powerful, Megatron died because of a combined attack against him and I'm sure being frozen in ice for fifteen thousand years did not help either.

I think the ONE autobrat that died compared to all the decepticons that did people should not really be complaining about that too much. :P

Minus his.. ah-uh.. introduction, I thoroughly enjoyed Jazz in the rest of the movie. He was a capable and brave character.

He also had quite afew lines in the movie. I thought it was kinda interesting how he questioned Prime about rushing in and rescuing Bumblebee, twice even. I thought it was cheap how he died as well, the shot was so far away that if you blinked you'd miss it. Honestly I didn't know it was Jazz at first

And I kept thinking it was Ironhide who called for the fallback and Jazz refused the order. :?

As I've said before Jazz should at least put up a good long fight. That way you feel sorry for him and he seems more bad ass

I love Jazz. He rocks. Taking on Megatron,A bot that could crush him instantly, without much fear. His death was stupid. Jazz should have at least, ya know, smacked Megatron in the head, and then Megs could've Dropkicked him, He'd be alive, but crippled. :P I'll settle for Crippled Jazz.

I can.
I do.
And i'm not explaining why because i've done that a hundred times before and i'm sick and tired of explaining to Jazz lovers why I didn't like him.

Accept that people don't like him.
Accept that he's DEAD.

Move on.

I for one enjoy Jazz in just about any incarnation. Granted, I was not happy to see my namesake character get killed off so unceremoniously, but I'm not above finding the humor in it iether. At least it was MEGATRON who took him out rather than some second-rate Decepticon grunt.

Rumour - Jazz may return for TF2 according to his voice actor (who was probably just trying to boost his own ego)
Fact - Jazz is dead.
Fact - Declared unrepairable by the Autobot MEDIC.

Until we hear otherwise, he's dead. And I him like that.

I'm fine with the Solstice and the robot. Looks good to me.

But the voice is just so wrong. And the attitude. Serves him right to be killed off early.

We know that the remains of the dead Decepticons were dropped into the ocean, were Jazz's remains also dropped into the ocean, or did the Autobot's bury him? Or at least store him somewhere?

I'm pretty sure the Bots would want to give their fallen comrade a proper funeral... in whatever way TFs see fit.

Didn't the post-TFTM G1 series show an Autobot graveyard?
