I said the same thing in the original thread. I bet the guy that legally changed his name to Optimus Prime tries his best to get his wife to change her name to Elita-1.
I don't think it should be messured by how littered ones house is by Transformers and everything the name stands for. I think it should also messure the maturity of ones hobby and also check if it borders on a dangerous obsession. When I say that I mean they should have to use their line of credit or give up a solid family life just to say to some other people on-line that they won the most bad ass fan award.
I would also like to think of Transformers fans as the more down to earth and far "cooler" type of fans then your run of the mill comic book nerds. Unfortunate for me, almost every fan I've ever met outside of the boards is extreamly introverted and has been long since cut from the threads of social activities other then comic book conventions. My vote goes to the guy who buys a Topkick, slaps a Bot symbol on it and still looks cool before and after they get the truck. Obviously they should be judged on the size of their collection and their raw knowledge of the brand as well as all that has stemmed from it.
Kitbashers come to mind. They are the ones who really use their creative tallents to fix the "problems" a lot of the fandoms see in their toys today. Just take a look at a few of the good folks over at Transtopia, they bust their butts sculpting what they love with their hands and some careful planning.
But hey, who could forget a certain someone who won
TWO awards at last years Botcon. Clearly that guy deserves a crown of sorts
Lastly, I hope I didn't offend anyone or step on anyones toes. That's just the way I would enjoy seeing something like this judged.
