ComingSoon.net has recently interviewed Transformers Movie star Shia LaBeouf, who gave a quick update on the status of the Transformers Movie sequel. Though it may not be new information to many, it does re-affirm the statements made by the writers and others involved in the prodution of the sequel.

CS: Any word or update on "Transformers 2"?
LaBeouf: We're in the middle of a strike so you can't write a script and you can't make a movie without a script so that's where we're at.

You can read the entire interview, where LaBeouf talks about his role in the upcoming Indiana Jones film as well as his work on the first Transformers film, by clicking here.

And yet, so many movies seem to prove otherwise.

I detect some very subtle sarcasm!

Well there were rhumours that Bay has had the initial outline so he can start dreaming up ways of making car chases and big explosions. Im guessing its more the Dialogue thats missing though again, its a Michael Bay film so who'd know the difference.
This does make me laugh though as not a week ago i had some idiot telling me how hes already seen the leaked script. Didnt seem too bothered when i told him it hadnt even been written yet lol.

According to Bay and Nelson his website admin they did have some of the script written before the strike occurred.

Whatever this friend of yours thinks he has it is probably just some of the false leaked treatment that came out a long time ago or other false information that Bay admits to do on a regular basis.

Even I have a copy of the first leaked treatment but I'm not holding my breath on anything being in the movie until I see the first trailers in theaters or tv spots advertising the movie.

So improvisation is thrown out of the window.

TF 2 done entirely as an improvisational script or starting out afterwards what little material has already been done ? yeah, not a good idea to me because I don't want to see "TF2 Who's line is it anyway ?"

Try making the CGI match up to that and even if it does it would be too random.

TF2 does NOT need to be rushed into production nor made into a karaoke session in a bar.

We are all in anticipation for the next film to come out including myself and it will suck big time if it's delayed but I'd much rather see a movie later even a year or so later than a piece of crap that was quickly cranked out just to make a specific date like 06/26/2009.

haste makes waste people.

Improvising a movie doesn't guarantee that it will fail. Case in point, Elephant. Elephant was improvised but that didn't stop it from winning the Palme D'or and best director at the Cannes film festival.

I'm not aware of too many summer blockbuster type movies being improvised let alone being screened or winning awards at Canne or the Palme D'or from there so when Bay says "action" and everyone starts blurting out random TF or other nonesense I'm sure they'll be quickly escorted off the set or the men in white coats will do it for them.

Unfortunately its hard to improv when your acting to nothing but a tennis ball on a stick for an eyeline.
Human on Human is fine (so yeah they could probably do most of the movie) but the bots lines will be pretty much set. Technology just isnt at a stage yet where you can create a Face and then just have it speak whatever you want while showing the right emotions etc.
