Statements made by
Transformers Movie director Michael Bay in recent weeks in regards to the
Transformers Movie sequel are being contradicted by recent statements by Dreamworks Studio, signalling that production on the film's sequel may not be moving along as was previously stated.
Michael Bay had declared earlier that
character designs had been finalised,
a script template had been completed and that Bay himself had
written 60 pages of an outline - but now, according to an article by MTV news, Dreamworks is reporting that the project status has not been updated, and that no production office has even been set up yet for the film's sequel.
Read the article in its entirety
by clicking here.
Likewise, DreamWorks Studios claims to have no production office set up for the "Transformers" sequel, despite Bay's controversial claim that he wrote the script for the feature during the strike.

"Opps, eval Transformers computar hackarz deleted my 60 page script. Sorry guys, the delay is back on."
It's all true.
Can anybody really picture Michael Bay sitting down and writing a Transformers story? He certainly doesn't seem like the type.

Maybe the "army recruiting" comment scared the studio. Or maybe the treatment was just awful.
Go strike! Huzzah!

And so the disinformation begins. Yep, like I said on another forum, take everything Bay says with a grain of salt.

Maybe the idea of Michael Bay circumventing the strike by working as a nonguild script writer pissed some people off and Dreamworks is doing damage control now.

How, exactly, did Michael Bay gather the gravitas to be so... frustrating? What, is he dangling the promise of another paper-thin plot, deceptively? He reminds me of the second rate student directors who feel that being obnoxious is a sign of genius. His first outing with the TF's could have been written on the back of a cocktail napkin for the amount of depth and clarity he had in it.

I think we should call for a moretorium on TF2 news until there actually is some to report. We know they are working on it, and it will be a while. When there's a commercial for it wake me so I can post on how crappy it looks.

Something had always bothered me about Bay, but I couldn't put my finger on it. You, however, GenX, just hit the nail on the head. Bay is EXACTLY like an obnoxious student director. Good call.
I agree with Scaleface; I think we just need to wait on TF2 news until there are news report actually worth reading.

1: not really i can't picture that ^^'
2: we won't have to worry about hackers he saidd himself in the directors comentary on the Transformers DVD that he needed pentagon type security software to stopp his computers getting hacked...so yeh TF2 is defantly on the way!

And that is proof enough for me that the man knows nothing about Transformers OR computers.

He seriously said that? If that is the case, it is just so much BS.

This is not surprising at all. Bay maybe wrote a 5 page outline than said "this is to hard were are my writers?! Oh yeah thats right. Let me draw some bots then." After this he goes to dreamworks with his stick figure pics of Transformers and says "the movies ready". You really think that they would even let Bay do all that him self? He's just a pompous ass. Untill a DW rep comes out and says "the movie has stated filming" im not going to believe any thing thats said.

I'd love to, except I don't own the movie. I plan on picking it up from the bargain bins when it reaches them.

I think its great that bay would leak false information, leaves you guessing. I would also think that he wouldn't be the only one in on it.. I would think everyone would be in on it and leak false info from all sides.
