Here's an article I saw on Yahoo! today that shows a guy who re-painted his mustang to look like movie Barricade, because his kid like the movie. It's not against the law as long as he doesn't impersonate a police officer. It has a light bar and insignias on it as well. Here is the link:

Is that considered a K.O., or a custom? Either way, that's a hell of a toy!

Or is it REALLY BARRICADE IN DISGUISE?!?!?!

A little over the top to impress a 7 year old, but as long as he isn't hurting anybody it would be fun to have sit in the driveway.

Pretty cool. The first thing I thought was "is it legal?" Apparently it is. Though I remember reading about someone who made a G1 Prowl, but they weren't allowed to lights on the top, or write POLICE on the side b/c it was illegal. I guess rules are different state by state.

i'm thought barricade didn't sport any real police symbols or slogans. am i wrong? just modified decepticon symbols. and there's nothing against the law about having a black and white car with decals. the light bar might be a problem, but i guess not...

Thats an awesome ride. He can use that car to disguise his speeding in the freeway.

He's Got "POLICE" written in big gold letters on each door. Isn't that enough?

He also has what may be mistaken as a police shield over the front tires. Even though it has a decepticon symbol inside it.

But of course the "To Punish and Enslave" Slogan, gives it away"

Still I think its barely legal, an it wouldn't be legal everywhere. And who in their right mind wants to go around driving a Police Shelby Cobra. I'd much rather be driving a Yellow with black stripes 2009 Chevy Camaro.

I'm just gonna sit back and wait for the guy that inevitably repaints his H2 Hummer into Ratchet. Now that's gonna be fun.

I've talked with this guy several times about this and he was being "questioned" about it and pulled over by multiple police cars, the real ones of course he even had to take it to the D.A. but they eventually backed off of him after a few months. He of course had to get an attorney too.

Thats cool, but in Jersey he couldn't get away with it. Personal cars can't say police, and if that lightbar works, he would be ticketed and asked to remove it.

Either that or register it as a comercial vehichile, but it still can't say police

Just seems to me like common sense would have told the dude to keep it parked and avoid the hassles.

PS , how about how we have 3 threads on this?
