As fun an idea as it would be, the only way the Dinobots could be done is if the Autobots reveal themselves to the rest of the world. The US Gov't is in denial over what happened, depsite the fact so many people witnessed it, and probably allowing the Autobots to stay on Earth so long as they don't cause trouble.
They would be fun to do but such forms would draw too much attention to themselves. Not to mention they couldn't really hide in such forms. I wouldn't count on it for TF II but I would not rule it out for a future sequel.

Bay isn't going to include hundreds of TFs in these films, so he's likely to cut down any sub-group to the most interesting member. Like Starscream being the only Seeker in the movies, and Bonecrusher and Brawl being the lone members of their Gestalt groups, Grimlock will probably be the only Dinobot with a decent chance to show up. If I had a say in it, I'd make him a powerful Armored Personell Carrier or Tank which transforms in a semi-humanoid monstrous looking TF, with distinct theropod (bipedal carnivorous dinosaur) elements in his design. Nothing too obvious like a tail or horizontal positioning, just slightly dino-style legs like Dropkick has and sharp teeth in an elongated but still mostly humanoid face. His personality would favor the gritty WW Grimlock as opposed to good old 'Me Geewun Grimlock King!'
