Wouldn't it be interesting if...

the Autobot reinforcements came to earth MEGA pissed with Prime?

You can't possibly expect every single Autobot in existence to share Prime's incredibly chivalrous nature. I can just see Hot Rod (if he's present) kicking off because Prime destroyed the only means to restore Cybertron.

It was just a thought but it'd add a massive dynamic to the film, albeit not incredibly necessary, but it would be interesting to see a Prime in a position of incredible unpopularity (bar Animated Prime who isn't fairing too well in terms of rank).

So, I dunno, what do you think? Prime makes an unpopular decision, and while his immediate company respect his choice, he finds much opposition among the reinforcements. The cube is gone, AND Starscream is on his way back to Cybertron to no-doubt gather Decepticons for an invasion.

I see a scene mirroring one in Beast Wars; Depth Charge and Primal:

"I gotta hand it to you, Primal: When you screw up, you do it big time"

I think if they use FAIRLY consistent personalities, Magnus might be on Prime's side a little. But I can see Prowl as condemning the decision 'illogical', Jetfire would say it was... the same, and Hot Rod would just be like 'u suxxr0rz' and storm off in a huff, only to run into decepticons and get his ass handed to him.

I'd love it! A bit of antagonism between the good guys is always nice storytelling =D

That seems like a logical plot development to me. But then the logic of the current Autobots being totally unphased by the doom their home planet faces is not logical at all.

You could put that down to an undying sense of heroism. You know, 'not a second thought', 'never look back' kinda thing.

That said, they didnt seem to fussed about Jazz's gruesome death so I don't know.

It all happened very fast. Perhaps after they've had time to reflect on things they'll show more varied emotion about it all.

..Any time after the initial battle can be classed as delayed reaction. I mean, surely the best time to be down about it would be after the battle (since during would be dangerous), and they didn't seem to sad then. Any time after that would be a seriously delayed reaction. These must be some sloooow transformers in this continuity.

Half way through the next film Bumblebee'll start panicing going "ew ew ew ew! they were totally having sex on me!!!"

I like this idea. It would add a little dimension to the Autobot cause and show that there may be some different approaches to being a good guy. They could even have Optimus getting arrested, and while they're hauling him back to Cybertron, Megatron attacks and only Prime can stop him. Then the issue comes down to whether or not to let a prisoner go for the greater good (although Prime would probably come right back after mopping up Megs).

Nice idea, there are just two faults in it:
Megatron is dead
And Prime had no chance against Megatron, so I don't get the "only Prime can stop him" thing.

Yea it would be awesome if a few Bots would come and bitch slap Prime and call him some names and all for destroying the cube.

I think I saw that already in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. the first one with corey feldman as Donatello.

And in order to keep the same type of antagonism going on on the decepticon side make it so that the reason Barricade disappeared before the final battle is because he is loyal to Starscream and wanted to see Megatron fail.

You know they won't be able to resist bringing Megs back. He had hardly any screen time in the first movie.

Only Prime can have a chance at stopping Megs, unless some of the new characters introduced are a little taller. I don't think after seeing Prime and Megatron fight once we can conclude that Megs wins every time. Prime is the smarter of the two, after all.

Autobots pissed at Prime just isn't marketable. Hasbro doesn't want their staple hero being antagonized by his own troops.

How many Rebel troops hate Luke for blowing up the Death Star?

That comparison doesn't hold. Preserving the Death Star didn't offer the Rebels any advantage. The AllSpark, as dangerous as it was, was also the one artifact that could restore their completely devastated homeworld.

I would rather think Prime would be MEGA pissed with Hot Rod.

Prime: NO, YOU LITTLE B"£$%@#! YOU GOT ME KILLED IN THE LAST MOVIE, YOU AINT KILLING ME IN THIS ONE!"

(Primes thrws Hot-Rod into Megaron's Flail)

and Dont forget Children, Freedom IS the right for all sentient Beings.
