i was watching something and alvin and the chimpmunks dvd was narrator said winner at the kids choice awards talk about being proud never did that to past winners of the kids choiuce awrads winners it probablry just me thinking thise since i take thing to serisly and dont know how to loosen up but i found that offensve as a transformers i took as writers of the commercial or nick was mocking that transformers didnt win any awards at any shows and they jealous that a big film was big hit on dvd sales.

it was the only film that had alot of popualrity to it commercials, toys, special effects, that lost to shrek, potter at the box office wars but it defeated the competiotn in dvd sales

Ya know what it was. The fricin parents. They read all the reviews of masturbation humor, assuming that it is never heard under their noses. So when kids ask to see the awesome movie everyone talks about, kids can't see it. Same thing for pirates, scary. So instead, parents take their kids to see PIMP DADDY CHIPMUNKS DOING NOTHING RELATED TO ANY WELL THOUGHT OUT STORY LINE AT ALL!

You know what? You're right. I agree with you 100%.

You really do take things too seriously and do need to loosen up. The majority of movies when advertising will often "brag" about what awards they've won. It's not a slap in the face of the movies that lost out, it's a simple basic marketting plan. People will stop and think "hey, that movie won (insert however and whatever awards) so it must be a good movie, i'll check it out!"

Seriously, it was just an advertisement. There is no need to be an over protective fanboy, it's not going to ruin your favourite franchise.

Alvin and the chipmunks won, so what ?
Is it stopping the arrival of TF2 ? no, that was decided back in late July 2007 that they were going to make a sequel and it's pretty much a done deal already that TF3 will be made as well.

I love transformers and have from the beginning and was shocked and disappointed that it lost to all of the awards shows but that will not stop me from going to the sequels. :D

What he said. I seem to remember questioning why every ad for every movie would call it the "#1 movie of the summer/winter/year/etc."
