60s, female, aggressive and no-nonsense leader of a secret government agency & speaks with sass;

NASA Shuttle Pilot
Early 30s, male, Caucasian, African-American, Asian or East Indian, intelligent and sarcastic. Most gifted pilot NASA's ever had;

Murray
40s, a NASA IT tech, spastic and brilliant, he's capable of breaking down and reassembling the world's most complex computer;

Sam's Ex-Girlfriend
Late Teens-Early 20s, cute and cerebral, a total arty girl that leads her own punk band;

Eric Witwicky
Early 30s, Caucasian, Sam’s much older brother. A stiff and pedantic personal injury attorney. Loves money and having more of it than everyone else. Supporting Lead;

Funeral Director
50s, male, spacey yet kind-hearted funeral director that buries Simmons. Can't help but put his foot in his mouth every chance he gets;

MJ
19-25, Sam's RA. Third year college student studying bio-chem. Stuffy and stiff lipped, he's a hater of all things fun;

President of Uganda
Meets with US Special Forces to give them access to his land;

Leroy Mason
Late 30s-Early 40s, super tall ex-basketball player turned business man. Bumps into Sam to give him advice;

Basketball Player
19-25, tall, well built athlete who will be asked to participate in scrimmage basketball game.

The first batch of characters introduced seem fun, these seem, well I don't know what to think. Hope this is one of the many Cloverfield-like rumors Bay said would happen. And, LOL Sam had a girlfriend before Mikaela? Riiight...

What's up with all the humans in TF being totally whacky nutjobs? Why can't we have normal Secret Agents and car salesmen? Why does everyone have to have some weird past and accidentally bump into the story? What happened to realistic characters?

Alright, some of my comments were kind of sarcastic, but I mean it when I say this list of human characters is totally off its nut. If they're going to keep a decent amount of returning TF1 characters, the human population will be huge. Again. These characters are way too farfetched. If this list is true (which I doubt it is) we'll get a dozen useless humans and maybe two or three new robots. Hurray =|

I have a theory about these "added" human characters.

I think the first list of characters revealed to us by IESB was correct. Ok, maybe to hide some plot details, some of the details about the characters are not quite correct. Perhaps Sam attends the University of Pennsylvania instead of Princeton. That would explain why Bay and Co. were scouting there.

I think this first casting list got accidently leaked against the wishes of Hasbro, Bay, and Dreamworks.

So now, to cover the leak, they've added a cast of completely off-the-wall and ridiculous characters to the first list so nobody will believe the first list.

Just my theory.

I REALLY hope Mikaela is in this. We don't need any new main characters, Sam and Mikaela is anough, otherwise we waste way too much time introducing them and get another love story. We want heavy metal.

Sam is like a loser, and he's had a crush on Mikaela since the 1st grade. why would he have an older, also hot, ex-girlfriend. doesnt make sense to me.
also the basketball players and president of Uganda don't make much sense to me. what do they have to do with aliens or transformers?

I wouldn't mind having an Asian or East-Indian astronaut dude.
We need a more diverse cast. and I'm tired of Asians/East Indians always being teenager's friends or stoners(Disturbia, Harold and Kumar)

The reason we like transformers is because of the transformers! Not because of some pathetic human character. Come one bay, you got to have your way with the first movie, can't you do what we want and lower the human count and put in what we really want

It's funny though how some people will say that the humans are esential to one and not the other.

I myself feel we're at the point where there are so many TFs that outside of someone getting steppen on, we realy don't need humans cluttering up the stories anymore.

There are enough characters to tell enough stories, without all the grem filler.

He said "is a character" so even if he just shows up on a video monitor in a screen talking with someone it's still technically "a character" in the movie.
