Actor Jon Voight, who played the Secretary of Defense in Transformers the Movie, has done an interview with hollywoodscoop.com regarding the upcoming sequel to the Robots in Disguise trilogy. Not many details were released in the interview but Mr. Voight did have this to say:

Jon Voight wrote:This is a big one. It's gonna happen, we're getting ready to go."

Although there are no confirmations of what stars have signed on, we have a hint that Jon will be in the second edition.

Speculations still surround the whole fact vs. fiction degree of the film with Michael Bay insisting that disinformation is purposely being released to keep us in the dark about the film. This interview took place at about the same time Michael made a comment on his blog stating that all info released regarding the film was false to date, save filming preparations for Philedelphia. You can view the original discussion on that here.

No official info is being released. Its all speculation. First Gen's Opinion? The script draft is done already. In order for Michael to keep this deadline up, it has to be done at least in a rough draft for him to work off of. Any dead characters that may be in the second film will most likely come in a flashback scene in their Cybertronian modes. There are too many characters in the TF universe to ressurect old ones, so I wouldn't count on seeing any comebacks, including Megatron. Yes this is a TF movie but this is also a Michael Bay film. While its all fiction anyway, Bay will try to keep some level of realism to the film at all costs.

So, they are going more global on the 2nd one? Makes sense. 90% of Skorponok is still in the Middle East. :P

I'd think Scorponok would have fixed that missing 10% by the time we get to the next movie.

Hey now... I liked his character... Besides, maybe he can bring his daughter Angelina Jolie along. Not gonna really happen, but I can wish, right?

John Voight is a good actor

He made a potenially bad charater bearable.

he is one of the most prolific actors ever I suspect.
